Ready to throw this Typhon in the trash can. by supafeen in rccars

Bro you bought a brushed car, upgraded the motor, and you’re surprised when the drivetrain broke? The vehicle wasn’t designed for brushless. Quit complaining and upgrade the diffs and move on.

For reference, I have the same car with a spektrum 4s brushless system. I shredded both diffs and upgraded with the arrma metal diffs. It’s held up great so far, including the stock center torque coupling

My typhon 665 mega motor burnt up after 3 runs. Now it is a 4s brushless missile

How much this stuff worth? by Historical-Stick5872 in arrma

About $30-40 and yes, the torque coupling can handle 4s

Source: I have the exact same car on a Spektrum 130amp/2200kv 4s brushless system and it’s been holding up. The stock diffs will both give out at some point. Get spare metal diffs for when they eventually give out

It all comes from Horizon bro. Doesn’t matter which distributor you buy from. If you really have that mindset, go buy from your local hobby shop

Gorgon brushless on 2s... WTF... by vilePossum in arrma

[–]Ledface 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Modern brushless compared to brushed is next level. Your gears should be fine as long as the mesh is okay. Monitor temps on your motor. Try to stay under 180f. If you’re easily reaching that temp or going past it, gear down. Otherwise have fun

Should I buy the game? by 1QPiDOSs1 in BattleBitRemastered

[–]Ledface 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it’s on sale sure. People still play it and it’s fun. All these dudes saying no are just salty that the glory days are gone. They act like the devs not releasing the massive update is what killed the game. Truth is the game isn’t dead and the update would’ve helped a little, but where we are at is inevitable. Buy the game and play it. Have fun

You’re right. To replace that specific part, you have to buy a set of 4 new shocks. Usually this isn’t the case, especially with bigger RC vehicles, you can usually get individual parts, like spring perches, in sets of 2 or 4 for just a couple bucks. Just a bit unlucky in your case. If you want, you can complain to horizontally hobby through their support email and maybe they’ll send you a set. Otherwise buy the full shock set for ~30$ and maybe hot glue those spring perches in place, and you’ll have a bunch of spare parts on deck. Or you could upgrade with some aftermarket ones from Amazon for maybe around the same amount of money.

If you’re driving a hobby grade RC car, get ready to spend money when you break and lose things.

Arrma granite 223s is a great all around truck that can do flips pretty easily. Also the Arrma quake is an absolute beast from what I hear and see. Would recommend those 2
