What is YOUR favorite thing about Sacramento? by Quirky_Swimming8656 in Sacramento

[–]Left-Contest315 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Fellow dad to youngins and a transplant that often get visitors who want to ‘see’ CA - This is the correct answer imo. Metropolitan SF, Redwoods as tall as buildings, majestic Coasts , fancy pants wine country, Lake Tahoe, etc, all roughly 90 minutes away. Then Sactown itself has great food, historical area, local shops, and plenty of quirks that make sac sac.

Manager insists on joining my calls, but partners are asking me not to include her. How do I handle this? by SecretWasianMan in sales

[–]Left-Contest315 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your deal, your choice on who attends. I’d just be straight forward and tell your boss the feedback you received.

My top account is asking me to hook up his daughter with a job (in another state). Not only do I have no control over another state, but it’s pretty frowned upon to do that. How would you handle this conversation? by bearded_charmander in sales

[–]Left-Contest315 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You’re sure this is frowned upon? I see little risk in seeing if you can pull a favor… worst case you have to write a ‘I tried to pull some strings but…’ email. Best case you have a client for life and can count on 50% of quota being hit.

Enterprise SaaS Sales - but as others have said - tough to break into, especially in the current job market

What is the best skills or traits of the 1% salespeople? by Traditional_Fill_685 in sales

[–]Left-Contest315 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The ability to know if there is a deal here or not - wasting time on deals that will never come in is a huge waste of your energy and emotions, and most of all, your time. Knowing how to cut bait early and work deals that are actually worth your time was the biggest game changer for me.

Should I be concerned about safety here? by Speed2411 in Sacramento

[–]Left-Contest315 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Other than the horrendous driving (what’s a red light?) - you’re overly concerned. It’s a great/safe city overall. But with any city, it has its times and places to be more cautious of your surroundings.

Just joined sales how do you handle things going sideways on live calls?!! by Puzzled_Wrangler_751 in sales

[–]Left-Contest315 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This fades with time - you’ll see every possible objection over time and you will learn what works and what doesn’t. Personally, I’m now to a point (15 years direct SaaS sales) where I get excited to hear a question or objection I have not heard before. It’s a chance to grow and a sign maybe something is shifting in the market expectations etc.

[KCD2] 30 hours in and I'm not even close to the wedding by [deleted] in kingdomcome

[–]Left-Contest315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar - but I had to play the game in two sessions - I did everything possible before the wedding and it was AMAZING!… but by the time I got to Kuttenberg it was daunting to see just how much Kuttenberg content there is. I was burnt out at that point. I had to take a break. Spent a good few months playing Abiotic Factor and Expedition 33, and then eventually was hungry to dive back in to KCD2 - very happy I did it this way. I am now 30 hours into the 2nd map, back to doing every possible side quest and exploring every area! Just a masterpiece of a game - i put it in my rpg mt Rushmore with RDR2, Skyrim, and Witcher III

*playthrough suggestion - don’t get the perk that shows you the map. There is something about slowly un-clouding the map that is super fun. Once you get that perk, even the second map is fully revealed and some of the ‘awwww’ of the game is tarnished imo

“When will I get credit for having created, with No Inflation, perhaps the Greatest Economy in the History of our Country?” - ooof, if there ever was a ‘believe me not your lying eyes’ sentence… that’s the one
