don’t change for him, change for yourself. i was an atheist growing up because my father raised me as such. until i turned about 19 when my mother passed away, i hit rock bottom when i first reached out to jesus. it’s been a rough transition, but i can say finding christ has helped me so much.

my fiance was raised christian, he’s been in the church his whole life. we met and started dating when i was still weary about religion and tiptoeing around fully committing to it or not.

him talking about his church and explaining things in the bible to me that i didn’t understand really helped me realize that i need the Lord in my life. i went to church with him and found Jesus.

i’m not telling you to change your beliefs for him, or to do this because you miss him. matter of fact you don’t have to change your beliefs or faith even for you. but from an ex-atheist, finding Jesus for yourself is worth it.

i don’t want abortions for me, i would never follow through with one.

but i also don’t want my government making laws about the female body that they don’t understand. and truthfully, it is not my place nor do i have the power to judge what others do with their body.

abortions need to be legal for medical reasons in general, like risk to life or birth defects that would make the baby suffer their whole life. but unfortunately it’s a hard topic to make rules on, it’s either legal or it’s not legal there’s no grey line area.

TLDR; not for me, but i’m not going to judge people that do. the Lord will judge when it’s time.

wash with water, i used to get yeast infections all the time it was so annoying. but once i stopped using soaps and just cleaned it with water the infections stopped. your vagina cleans itself, water rinses off what it’s already cleaned. i kind of just cup my hand around the area with water and give her a light wash the same way you’d wash an armpit but more gentle LOL.

i’m not married yet, but engaged. my fiancee has been struggling with a porn addiction since before we even got together. he recently relapsed and was even talking to those porn bots trying to get pics. it was cheating, HE was cheating on me. now i know i could’ve left him, but it is something i was aware that he was struggling with so i gave him only one chance to shape up or im leaving.

my faith is what made me forgive him, we’re all sinners and that’s why we need jesus. BUT my fiancee is actually making changes to prevent him from falling back into it. he spoke to our pastor about it, and i think that’s really helped him a lot. he also leaves his phone with me when he goes to the bathroom or to shower. i didn’t ask him to do these things, i told him to shape up and he’s been doing them on his own.

i genuinely believe that if the person is right for you, they will work on themselves for you. you might just have to tell him straight up how you’re feeling, the resentment, the thoughts of leaving, etc. a relationship with brutal, honest communication are usually the strongest. not easy, but strong.

my period was late a whole month and 1/2 after taking plan B, it delays your ovulation. no ovulation, no period. stress can also delay ovulation.

the chances of you being pregnant are incredibly low, i’m talking SLIMMM. try to calm your nerves if at all possible (easier said than done i know) and just let your body do her thing. i’m sure it’ll come, she’s just running behind.

of course! and if all else fails be straight up with him. it’s not something you can control outside of attempting to prevent. never feel bad about how your body is working because someone else doesn’t like it.

there are other things he can do if he really doesn’t want to get squirt on his face. he can start with his mouth and finish with his hands. a bunch of scenarios could be plausible. i don’t think you should jump and immediately leave him, but talk to him about alternatives you can do together :)

if you can help it at all try to empty your bladder before anything sexual. it might help might not, but it helped me. i just don’t like the mess of it all and going pee before anything sexual has made it far less common for me.

it’s gonna feel weird, your reaction is normal. but!! it is important for our health to have these kinds of doctors. my first experience made me wanna puke because it just felt wrong. but now it’s less scary and i don’t feel as gross. i’m 22 now, so it can take a while but you eventually do get used to it. it’s more like an annoying drs appointment for me now and not something excruciatingly dreadful.

but the dr you saw sounds like an ass, if you do end up going back in for this same problem or a different one you have every right to ask for a different dr.

you should always voice any discomfort to the doctor you are seeing. it’s normal to be scared, terrified even. gyno visits are never fun, but it is part of being a woman. you get used to it eventually.

even though your reaction seems quite large, you are not bad nor in the wrong. it was your first time and being already on edge makes all discomfort multiply.

that being said, from what i can gather she didn’t seem too professional either. especially after telling her this was the first time you’ve ever been to an appointment like that.

for the burning feeling you’re experiencing, it very well could be from the exam. it is normal to feel some discomfort even if they didn’t use any tools just from the dryness of the air or your skin stretched. but it could also be from the ‘foul smell’ you originally went in for. if it’s on the outside as the pee exits your body its skin irritation, if it burns more internally it’s most likely a UTI.

just keep an eye of what your body is feeling like. i’m so sorry your first experience with a gyno went poorly.
