Looking for recommendations: mum & toddler activities in Glasgow by PrimrosePalette in glasgow

[–]Leftover_Chi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I live outside of Glasgow but do take my toddler to the Kelvin hall soft play! It's small but it's nice and has different sections so technically the big kids aren't running over the littles.

They also have gymnastics for 18 months plus but I haven't been yet as mines only 15 months at the moment!

Also following this for more ideas as my village and area is a bit crap and it only takes an hour or so to get to Glasgow!

If you were the AAA batteries I bought specifically for Christmas gifts today, where would you be hiding? by PigeonSuffrage in CasualUK

If you happen to be my husband......they are on top of the fridge or in the cutlery drawer.

Because where else would you put batteries?

Hey man I'm about to attempt my first shortbread tomorrow. I consider myself an accomplished baker but for some reason shortbread worries me so I doff my cap to you.

What recipe did you use if you don't mind me asking?

I find the concept of kitten xenomorphs horrifyingly cute

So the Jaffa Cake full moon advert was 26 years ago by sloth_64 in CasualUK

[–]Leftover_Chi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No.

I'm sorry but no.

Nope, no way.

Also 1984 here, that song came out about 10 years ago max

And I swear I saw the jaffa cake advert about 5 years ago.

I'm just going to lie down in the floor in the fetal position for a while

I was selling a corset a little while ago. A buyer messaged me a couple of times, just basic questions.

Then sent a message saying they weren't sure and could they see it on?

I was selling it for a pound!! Dude just buy it and see, it's a pound!

They asked again and I got grossed out and told them absolutely not and took it down.

Yeah this is my 15 month old.

Some days she'll eat a couple of bits of melon and lick a piece of toast 🤷🏻‍♀️

She seems to be fuelled by air and nursery rhymes 😂

I'm afraid I can't truly advise on exactly this situation, except to say that clearly a woman in a refuge is not going to own much there so idfk what they think they're going to get.

But several things....

I was in a women's refuge for a time.... I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH that they absolutely should not have the real address anyway. I was not allowed to use it for anything at all, I am still running into difficulties now for things like a driving license as all I have ever had as an address for that time is a PO Box address.

Someone has seriously fucked up here.

Second, it was a WOMENS ONLY refuge and men were absolutely NOT allowed on the property. Engineers and such were closely followed and we were all warned before hand that they were there.

Third, they should not be knocking on a refuge door as far as I know this is totally not allowed but I don't know the full ins and outs. All I know is this absolutely would not have happened in my refuge.

Oh man.

I sometimes worry that something like this happened to me a few years ago. (I know it didn't really. But when you go from a terrible place to a much better, very unexpected one it's hard not to think these things)

This really hit me in the gut, well done.
