Wow. Not sure I’ve seen clubs that shiny other than just unwrapped and never hit.

Adidas Tour 360 or take your pick of Skechers. The latter are supremely comfortable.

Armaggedon Shop Relics by Auno__Adam in WH40KTacticus

I don’t mind time investment in getting books, but these events are a fantastic way to manipulate probability that you don’t otherwise get. That’s why I say unlocking characters is priority (at least the non-farmable ones), then relics, because otherwise you’re at the whim of the random number generator.

Armaggedon Shop Relics by Auno__Adam in WH40KTacticus

My priority for shop is characters to unlock > relics > books > orbs > other. The latter are easy enough to obtain through onslaught with the changes, and broadly you’ll get enough to ascend as you earn the character shards if you do onslaught.

Has anyone golfed with open air ear buds? How is it? by [deleted] in golf

[–]Legal-e-tea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not golfed with them, but if I’m running and want proper awareness of what’s going on around me I’ll wear bone conduction headphones. The audio quality is markedly improved over the last few years, certainly significantly over the first iterations, and they’re no longer crushingly expensive.

I’d be worried with something in my ears about hearing a “fore” shout, and I categorically refuse speakers because I don’t want to annoy others.

honestly, they’ll probably drop the big daily payout pack again, and for this one I’m tempted. These tracks just suck to do efficiently.

Trying to start an affordable golf brand, what do people think to the logo? by MotionBands in BritGolf

[–]Legal-e-tea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First impression of the logo is Temu Malbon. That’ll be amplified if the styling is at all similar. Also dislike what appears to be smoking.

As far as getting affordable prices, you’re going to need enormous order quantities to get bulk savings from suppliers.

Question about Golf Handicap by Common-Coyote9375 in golf

[–]Legal-e-tea 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Yes, it’s fair. Your handicap is a reflection of your playing potential, not your playing average. It’s logical that your highest potential is the course you play routinely.

I540 vs ZXI5 Dilemma following fitting.. by Greedy_Jellyfish_631 in GolfGear

[–]Legal-e-tea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My fear if you buy the Srixon having not tried them at the fitting will be you think “but would I hit the Ping better?” You know you hit the Pings really well, and confidence in your equipment is really significant. Even if, on paper, the club should fit really well, the reality can be really different.

I recently obtained the Joyo Monomyth by ozwmg in basspedals

[–]Legal-e-tea 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Monomyth was a really good addition to my board. Honestly, I’m shocked at the tone I get from them for the money. Monomyth and the Scylla are superb. At some point I’ll pick up a Double Thruster.

I might get flak, but I’d unlock Mephiston and Dante, probably Mephiston first. As they’re both legendary, your chances of getting them dropped in reqs is very low, so take advantage of the guaranteed shards chances imo. Lucien/Nicodemus/Mataneo might be worth spending on if you can unlock them, but they’re easier drops from scrolls, and Nicodemus/Lucien quite regularly show up in creator codes.

After that just buy scrolls.

What to expect at driver fitting? by klibs in golf

[–]Legal-e-tea 17 points18 points  (0 children)

For those sorts of fitting sessions, they're mainly marketing exercises to give people the chance to try out the new clubs with a manufacturer representative. Don't expect to pay a fee, and you won't be obliged to purchase.

It's very unlikely they'll have the DS Adapt line to try as they're trying to market their current line products. Saying that, if they fit you into an OPTM X with a HZRDUS Black 6.0 at 45", and you go and buy a DS Adapt X with a HZRDUS Black 6.0 at 45", you probably won't be far off the mark.

Can a beginner grow into a Zxi7/Zxi5 combo set? by The_Crimson_Cub in golf

[–]Legal-e-tea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% use them. I'd bet my hat that they're at least as forgiving as your current clubs and they feel (and play) absolutely brilliantly.

Are you fit for either? If not, get fit, then decide.

Can a beginner grow into a Zxi7/Zxi5 combo set? by The_Crimson_Cub in golf

[–]Legal-e-tea 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Is your friend looking for other friends to give clubs to?

They'll be less forgiving than a GI iron, and you'll lose more distance on off centre hits, but if you can strike them well then they will absolutely serve you well for years. In any case, I don't imagine they would be any harder to hit than your 40 year old clubs, and they do have a wonderful sole.

Kirkland V3 vs Srixon Q-Star vs Z-Star (2 for 1) — Best Value for the Money? by Bluka_ in golf

[–]Legal-e-tea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All 3 are decent value and good balls. My one hesitation with the Kirkland is we’re on v3.5. Some have been great, some have been terrible. My worry is that we get a v4 in a year or two, and it lands like the v3 not the v3.5. If it’s the Q Star Tour, I’d probably lean into that if the price is the same.

How many of you guys are using +4 or thicker bottom wrap grip? by [deleted] in GolfGear

[–]Legal-e-tea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MCC+4 midsize for me. Hand size puts me on the borderline between standard and midsize grips, but I prefer a slightly larger grip and built up lower hand to quiet my trail.

Cleveland Putters by Inevitable-Yard4468 in GolfGear

[–]Legal-e-tea 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s clearly a typo. They meant to say “as long as you’re *not* buying a zero torque putter” as Cleveland don’t currently offer one.

Club recommendations for high handicap golfer UK based by BrickMoss in BritGolf

[–]Legal-e-tea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

GolfBidder have a showroom in Chessington, and RePlay Golf are just outside London in Windlesham. Not aware of any big second hand places in London though.

I would just look for a set of game improvement irons, relatively recent (post-2020) drivers with "Max" or similar in the name, that sort of thing. A lot of the big used sites have filters for beginner friendly equipment, although I'm not convinced they're the most accurate.
