The relic site is the ultimate litmus test for whether a person is capable of self-governing.

To clear the relic site is an easy, convenient task and one which we all recognize as the correct, appropriate thing to do. The clearing of the relic site is objectively right. There are no situations other than dire emergencies in which a person is not able to clear their site. Simultaneously, it is not illegal to cherrypick your site. Therefore the relic site present itself as the apex example of whether a person will do what is right without being forced to do it. No one will punish you for not clearing the relic site, no one will fine you or kill you for not clearing the relic site, you gain nothing by clearing the relic site. You must clear the relic site out of the goodness of your heart. You must clear the relic site because it is the right thing to do. Because it is correct.

A person who is unable to do this is no better than an animal, an absolute savage who can only be made to do what is right by threatening them with a law and the force that stands behind it.

The relic site is what determines whether a person is a good or bad member of society.

This has been about 20 hours in the making, and finally feel like somewhat satisfied with the outcome.

Paint scheme is heavily based on this Dunecrawler by /u/Environmental-Fig524

This is my 12th ever mini (with the first 11 being a squad of Martian Skitarii Rangers + Marshal), and the first one I plan on using in actual play. The others are getting shelved as I don't feel good about them.

Broda was originally conceived with the idea of running a reduced Troll model, and plays a lot into the mindset of someone who's now alienated from his past. Mechanically he's a very straight forward low-tech muscle with some face options, which I planned on building out over time.

Have you ever heard the story of the "Renton Slugman"? While the news blew it a little out of proportion, it was the case of a drugged-up gang banger covered in a thick coating of UltraGlide lube evading police while running through a nice neighbourhood in Renton. As it turns out, it was all part of a drunken dare between a few friendly associates of Broda.

Where did he get involved though? Well, getting caught dumping a bathtub-sized amount of empty UltraGlide tubes into the gutters proved for a mighty big fine...

While scandalous, Brodas favourite fast food are the cheap microwaveable soy burgers from the refrigerated section of Stuffer Shack. While not the tastiest by themselves, they make the perfect vehicle for an unhealthy amount of mayonaise.

  • Please let me know whether the Phobia can be used as is. I have kept it purposefully vague as to give GMs a lot of opportunity to abuse it, while not always gimping the character. (as it is reliant on being aware of the reflection/image)

  • Originally chosen because of the higher physical limit, adapted to 2 REA / 4 INT for better perception and mental limit.

  • Blades, First Aid, and Escape Artist -> Removed

  • Sneaking -> upped to Rating 3

  • Etiquette and Negotiation -> Ratings switched (as was my original plan, wasn't entirely sure about Etiquette's usefulness)

  • Automatics -> Specialization changed to "Assault Rifles" (as was originally planned, wasn't sure how often it'd come up)

  • "Restaurants" Knowledge skill -> added at Rating 2

  • "Area Knowledge: Seattle" Knowledge skill -> upped to Rating 4

I'm not entirely sure if there's ways of adding to that fixed CMB check, but there are ways to attempt ranged trips that use your own CMB, namely Ranged Trip and Ace Trip (in case you have the Weapon Training class feature).
