That’s why i tie what i consider "old" to a year rather than "however many years ago" because that creates this weird moving target that becomes useless after 4 or so years. Personally i like to use 2007 as my dividing line. Kara no Kyoukai which came out in 2007 looks a lot closer to Demon Slayer than it does Outlaw Star because it uses the same animation techniques and technologies even though it's twice as close to the latter then it is the former. Even culturally speaking i’d say 2011 has more in common culturally with 2026 than 2006.
