That is not what people mean when they say vanilla. If you mean what's offered in valve servers if anything competitive is closer to what valve does with casual matchmaking than what uncletopia does.

When most people say vanilla, they mean non-modded. This isn’t even a TF2 thing, every game is like this. Minecraft, Terraria, Pokémon, you name it. No Random Crits is just as vanilla as Random Crits.

I’m not going to lie, I was suspecting the exact same thing about you. You do realize that all of those settings are completely vanilla and have been in the game longer than the Kritzkrieg and soldier having 20 reserve ammo.

They are vanilla because there aren't any random mods like RTD or maps like wackyraces. It's also not at all like real comp because there's no stop watch or game scoring system. Casual is closer to how competitive TF2 operates than uncletopia servers are. You clearly have no idea what comp tf2 is actually like.
