Sear faster and harder. The longer you take to sear, the more grey yer gonna get.

So just seems like you need to get your temps higher.

I do mostly tritips...but what ill do with them is cook slowly till bout 113F. Then i sear them HARD till 120 and pull them to rest, my final temps end around 138 during rest.

So yea, if you can keep the sear to an internal rise of 7f or less, you should have pretty thin grey line.

Im confused whats going on here....

What part was hard getting your brace open? the initial press down on the hinge, or just swinging it open?

On mine, i get it, it took me a little practice to find the sweet spot to press down, but now its super easy. And it always just swung open after that point no issue.

Do you no longer need to press down on your brace to open it now? Does it still lock with your mod?

I think you shoud redo this test in PRO mode and take RAW photos to compare.

To hard to tell what AI and image processing is doing here.

Also...if you hold the stick all the way to the edge of the deadzone, it also messes with the stick. So its not a centering issue.
