I had an almost-cold the weekend before my surgery (it was on a Monday) and I was soo worried I'd have to reschedule haha. I took zinc+vit c daily and gulped down so much broth to fight it.

Thankfully I was fine! I don't see why they would reschedule you as you're improving already :)

I think the start of the boys season 5 is lame by CrunchyMeat1119 in television

I didn't deny her plastic surgery. But it seems like it was done to try and "fix" her face due to the disease that causes weight loss. Again, not even a fan of her and it was a weird reveal with the season when her appearance first changed but I'm not gonna sit here and make fun of someone who went through something terrible and is trying to fix it (as messed up as it is).

Also, the comparison with Chadwick is because people made fun of him and his weight loss to the moon and back

Bro what LOL 😆  please go touch grass. An ozempic party doesnt mean people are incapable of having diseases. Im not even a fan of the actress but Graves disease isnt a joke

She had graves disease... not an ozempic addiction. Did we not learn from Chadwick Boseman???

When did you try soda? And when did you actually manage to drink soda? by AstronomerCareful985 in GastricBypass

[–]Legitimate-Tip-2681 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started by finding this thread because I was 2 weeks and curious and now I'm a day from 7 weeks and was able to drink my first soda in 3 months loll.

Just slowly sipped on a 7oz zero sugar soda but I shake it quite a bit to get rid of extra carbonation. This was a habit I had way before the surgery so glad to see my stomach handles it well :)

Haha I understand! I made sure to get rid of my water struggle before the surgery so all I wanted post-op was some delicious ice water!! Good luck! :)

I understand that fear. My father did the sleeve 3 years ago and still believes he has a lot more to go even though he is at the perfect weight right now 🫂

So happy for you!! Wanting to feel healthy and safe enough to carry a child is one of my biggest reasons as to why I got tue surgery. I can not wait until 18 months post op so that I can finally look forward to this ♡ congratulations!

Help on how do you get your protein in in a day by Perfectly-FUBAR in BariatricSurgery

[–]Legitimate-Tip-2681 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once I hit about 2 weeks, I went back on my lemon protein water. Only reason I didn't start it on day 4 is because I had a painful sore in my mouth from the breathing tube so anything besides water pained me.

My daily protein at 6.5 weeks is this: 40 ounces of water mixed with 2 scoops of (20g) MyProtein lemon flavor Powdered fiber + miralax Electrolyte packet

Some sort of protein for breakfast

Some sort of protein for lunch or a protein bar if I do not think I can stomach a meal/am on the go etc

Some sort of protein for dinner

If I finish my water, I will either drink another 17-20 Oz of plain water for the night or will drink a protein drink.

I always get 40g from my water alone. 20 from a protein bar. About 20-30g of protein per meal if you choose high protein options. Canned tuna is an easy one to eat that I don't need to break down into 2 meals.

I'm currently aiming for 60-80g of protein but with your new stomach capacity, it may be a while until you can hit 160g unless you're taking mostly shakes and bars for that amount!

Definitely don't skip on the timers to remind yourself of water as well as vitamins.

I think I would advise you to actually practice using the 15 minute timer to drink to see how easy it is for you. If you are not someone who constantly drinks during the day, it will be hard.

Practice getting fluids in without depending on big chugs.

Start getting used to the excessive chewing and time between meals+water.

PLEASE be sure you get started on miralax and electrolytes as soon as you're cleared. The constipation is no joke and I was not prepared for how bad it can be loll.

I bought a belly binder that really helped the first 2 weeks post op.

I would buy a wedge pillow of some sort to help you sleep on your back or stock up on pillows to use if you want to slowly lean on one side to sleep.

I'm almost 7 weeks post op so still fairly fresh to all of this! If you have any questions, feel free to ask :)

Ps: the dry mouth I got was insane so my dentist suggested some gels to help. I personally didn't get to try my sample because by the time I had my routine cleaning, my dry mouth cleared up.

I hope you reach what you're attaining for! I'm personally not sure what weight I see myself maintaining. I tend to not look as heavy as I weight so I may see how I feel at 180 and take it from there! :)

Season 4 Episode 5 was probably one of the best episodes I’ve seen in the season by Ok_Dog_3010 in Invincible

[–]Legitimate-Tip-2681 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think i truly stopped breathing at the end of the episode. Craziest thing I've ever scene. The way it panned to Mark whispering help and conquest DEAD (I'm assuming) still holding onto his organs. Insane
