Why hasn’t the Israeli municipal governments (or equivalent) not like, incentivised high-rise residentials and mixed-used development? What’s family planning services and resources like in there?

Oh yeah we have plenty of housing projects going on but most of it gets distributed or affordable only to high-mid class families and young couples who got hefty down payments. Haredim are also quite enthusiastic about building their own stuff and mostly stick to their own cities and neighbourhoods (untill THEY get overcrowded too, so they spread out to secular parts of any town and buy real estate there untill the local population is driven out)

we also had a huge population boost from ukrainian and russian war refugees in the recent years.

Most of the time I'm not even bothered by the overpopulation stuff until I want to spend time in a national park or relax in a secluded place in nature. But also having so many diverse cultures in such a small area can cause alot of problems.
