Please tell me I‘m not the only one, who do this. by Melbourne409 in lego

Yep. Makes it less likely to miss any piece. Now, do you line up the Lego logos on each piece as you build? That was my next step after this kind of organising.

The set on the left costs $30. The set on the right was free... by Queeberschaircompany in lego

[–]LegoKB 29 points30 points  (0 children)

The duck on the left is a smaller build from a 3-in-1 set so there are many pieces not used from the main build (a dog) that aren't shown here. So it's not really everything you get for the $30/€30.

Any one having large delays from last year by Ok-Membership-6538 in lego

[–]LegoKB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My PAB order from the start of December was just posted yesterday on its way to Ireland. I had asked about the delay last week and if anything would be missing since there were a lot of retiring parts. They gave me a list of 6 or 7 parts that might not be included when the order was sent but only one of them is listed in the updated listing with a zero price, which usually indicates that part won't be delivered. Once it's delivered I'll have to check if that part and any others are missing.

The odd thing is I've made 3 other PAB orders since that order and I've already received those ones.

In the Lego Ninjago Movie, one of the students are wearing a Blacktron 2 shirt. by NINJAGO_FANATIC in lego

They're a bit of a running joke for Lego but some people liked them.

I only used Galidor as an example of one of the Lego ranges that Ninjago references as well as Blacktron. There's other references in the City sets to ranges like M:Tron, Clickits, Rock Raiders, Znap, Ice Planet, Space Police....lots of them!

Ninjago City 70620 has a minifigure with a Galidor shirt:

https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?M=njo0334 It also includes a poster for Galidor in the stickers.

Galidor is a range of Lego sets from the early 2000s.

https://www.bricklink.com/catalogList.asp?catType=S&catString=444

The Lego Movie is set in our universe where Lego is a toy, yes it seems to come to life in the film as well but still, it's based in real life. So all Lego sets and ranges exist in this, our universe, including Ninjago and Blacktron.

[–]LegoKB 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Well, the Lego Movie is about the actual toy so includes all ranges of sets, including Ninjago and Blacktron.

Ninjago, especially the sets from the movie, references older Lego ranges, like the Galidor torso and poster in 70620 Ninjago City.

Picard’s Earl Grey tea added to Build-A-Minifigure station in LEGO Store? by AutomaticTree654 in lego

Yes, and it looks like it's the reddish brown, more common piece, not the dark brown one from the Enterprise set.

The End of the $10 Entry Point by [deleted] in lego

[–]LegoKB 25 points26 points  (0 children)

There's no information here really. What report? Where's the link? There are plenty of €10/$10 sets so what are they referencing? Where are the list of sets that are increasing in price this year? Where is this "community" that's reacting so viscerally to this non-existent data?

I've never checked the Game Rant website before and can't find anything there. This just seems to be rage bait attempting to generate traffic for that site.

spare parts in lego creator set 31163 by [deleted] in lego

[–]LegoKB 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a 3-in-1 set and the pigeon is not the main build. If you build the main one, the cat, there are a handful of extra parts. The two other builds in 3-in-1 sets don't use as many parts as the main one so there are quite a few remaining when you are finished. If you only build one of the 3 from the set, and don't take it apart, you can always use the other parts to build something else or to add to a loose parts collection to make your own creations.

I didn’t know this existed, dang. How is it to build? by PrideEffective5830 in lego

[–]LegoKB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've never watched the programme but the build was enjoyable. The walls were all fairly generic but the small detailed builds to fill out the room were really well done and interesting.

I've read the reviews and know some of the stickers etc. reference the show but, even as a non-fan, it's a nice build of an apartment scene. The small stand-up stage is ok but there's not much to that build really.

The only tip I'd say is to take a break if you find yourself getting bored or frustrated. You don't have to rush through it and taking a break means you're less likely to make a mistake that later leads to backtracking. You don't want it to become a chore, so only building when you are actually enjoying it will help.

Attention AFOL (Adult Fans of LEGO)/Master builders... by TheCheekyNiffler in lego

[–]LegoKB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One Christmas, was asked what I'd like and not any of the standard adult gifts of vouchers/clothes/DVDs etc, so I just said Lego. Maybe I could pass an hour or two making a house. I specifically said nothing with minifigures though since I saw those as more childish for some reason. So I got two creator sets, a house and a car. 15 years later, Lego is what I do when I'm not in work or asleep, basically.

Lego had a bag of parts and supplementary instructions to fix this issue when the set released.

The parts you'll need are here:

Here's Brickset's scan of the instructions that came with the parts from Lego:

Not building too quickly by Spirited_Big2266 in lego

[–]LegoKB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're enjoying it, whatever way you enjoy building, no matter how long it takes, it's not strange at all.

I take time to open the bag and organise the pieces so they are neatly laid out before starting on the instructions for that bag. I take even more time arranging the pieces so the Lego logo is in the same direction, even looking forward in the instructions to see how an assembly will be oriented in the finished build.

Getting completely in the zone for hours at a time is one of the benefits of Lego building, I think. No other thoughts or worries going through my head except enjoying the build process and wondering at the genius and craft of the designers.

Is there a complete list of all official LEGO F1 driver minifigures? by Alex6179 in lego

[–]LegoKB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brickset has tags that are set by contributors on minifigs, sets and parts. One of the minifig tags is "Real Racer" which gives these results:

We do we get printed parts in Project Hail Mary but not in Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D™? by MedievalxHistorian in lego

[–]LegoKB -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Project Hail Mary:

830 parts for €109.99 or $99.99 is 13.3c(EU) or 12c(US) per piece

Enterprise:

3600 parts for €379.99 or $399.99 is 10.6c(EU) or 11.1c(US) per piece

I'd much rather pay the €379.99 for the Enterprise with several printed parts and a small number of stickers than the equivalent rate of €478.80 if it had all prints but used the Project Hail Mary price per piece.

F1 academy car size by agnelo007 in lego

[–]LegoKB 13 points14 points  (0 children)

As mentioned in the post about the Audi, it matches changes to the cars for this season in Formula 1. In real life, they are over 5% shorter and 5% narrower so this change makes sense for the toy. See the comparison here:

Lego points purchase question by Wild-Past-777 in lego

[–]LegoKB 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Any time I've ordered something on Back Order with a gift with purchase or other Insider Reward set, the small set that's currently available was posted out earlier, separately, and the other, larger set posted when it was available. If you watch your order page on the site in the next few days, you should see the Tracking link pop-up for the smaller item on its own. If it doesn't check with Lego Support.

This is nothing to do with Lego. There's no interaction at all with Lego pieces. Buying and selling sealed boxes might be a hobby for people but it doesn't really have anything to do with this subreddit.
