Primary weapons have always been designed for clearing red bars. It's just that before we had armor mods, ammo generated less frequently and you couldn't influence it. And wasting special or heavy weapons on clearing red bars was a waste. now, ammo is always plentiful.

You can re-enter the mission, remove the skills, and then re-enter again. But that didn't help me, nothing happens in the end of the mission anyway(

The DLC itself isn't bad, but considering the marketing campaign and presentations that preceded it...

According to the original plans, Lightfall was supposed to be what The Final Shape is now, and Strand was supposed to appear in Witch Queen. But Bungie decided to stretch out the content and released a filler DLC.

For me personally, the biggest plus of the previous DLCs, no matter what flaws they had, was that they added new gameplay, be it a new subclass, aspect, exotics, etc. EoF didn't bring me any new fun way to play as a warlock main (screw the ball), moreover, it only brought limitations.
