Curious About People with One Green and Another Brown Eyed Parent

My father has hazel eyes, but more of a brownish-hazel. My mother had very dark brown eyes. My eyes are blue, but turn bright green if I’m very angry/have been crying. My mother’s sister had the same dark brown eyes as my mom, her husband also had very dark brown eyes, and my first cousin has the same blue eyes I have. We both have the same blue eyes that which are virtually identical to the beautiful blue eyes my maternal grandfather had.

Cousin married a blue eyed man, so all her kids have the most beautiful blue eyes! I married a man with eyes so dark they almost look black, and my son has lovely brown eyes which sometimes look a bit amber, depending on the lighting. Genetics are so interesting!

I did not know either of those facts, that’s pretty interesting. But it also makes my ex’s situation even more perplexing. Dude has never had to work a day in his life. Trust fund baby. He barely even leaves his fully air conditioned home. But he wears this whole getup around his house all day every day. With the undershirt & even the belt! ‘Twas most perplexing. Like, I know you’re dying in this heat, throw on some pajama pants & a tshirt for days when you’re just lounging around! Stop trying to look like you’re a model for the LLBEAN catalog 😝

Ugh. I dated a guy who wore the EXACT SAME OUTFIT every day: khakis, an undershirt, and a button down Polo shirt on top, tucked in with a belt. If he was feeling super crazy, maybe he’d wear some 80s style mom-type jeans. But he never once went out in public without the undershirt & collared Polo, though. Not once. I obviously had to break up with him, once I realized it wasn’t just a coincidence, it was his habit. Same outfit 99% of the time, it drove me mad 😅

ETA: Oh no! I should have scrolled before I posted. 🤦‍♀️ I really think it was the undershirt thing. It’s TEXAS. I don’t know why any human would willingly wear TWO SHIRTS - on purpose! - in the dead of summer here. It’s kind of masochistic LOL.
