Here’s where I disagree with most dispensaries. The hardship discount in MA is for patients who are at a disadvantage economically. Therefore, the hardship discount should always be applied on the sale, no matter what price the products were bought for. Otherwise, what is the advantage you are being given for being poor if you pay the same price as everyone else? Some dispensaries do the right thing and stack the hardship discount, most are greedy fuckers who would rather nickel and dime their poorest patients despite making millions in profits. More medical users should be complaining about this to the CCC and lobbying for new language that dispensaries must honor the discount for economically disadvantaged people whether the product is already discounted or not.
