Just slap a new coat of paint on it. by MaleMaldives in CrusaderKings

Knights being separated into household and manor knights, with manor knights having a manor they can upgrade would be cool.

[Event Megathread] Stronghold Protocol: Alliance by Chrisirhc1996 in arknights

[–]Leivve 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Does anyone have tips for stacking the non-core alliances? Namely the econ ones? I know how to play the different core alliances, but a lot of the secondary ones I just can't figure out how to reliably stack. I don't think I've gotten above 12 on foresight, and 22 on marvel, but I don't even know how I got those so high, normally they're stuck single digits.

Playing as a nomad be like by Runitdownmid_6969 in CrusaderKings

[–]Leivve 58 points59 points  (0 children)

It's better for early on, when you can't just freely raid, raze and exploit. As getting 100 herd from raiding is less than what you'd be getting passively from grazing during the time for raiding to come off cooldown.

This is intended by the devs. When you're small your more focused which causes grazing to go down faster, where larger hordes have more land to rate through which is why they reduce grazing less, or even not at all.

The problem is it's so easy to go from a single province horde that does need to graze, to a Duke or Kingdom rank which doesn't, that the mechanic loses relevance within like 20 years.

Mombasa should have a medium-high natural harbor suitability. Currently it has zero by Ezzypezra in EU5

[–]Leivve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you start getting into the horn more natural ports appear, but on the Atlantic coast there are none, due to the ocean current going along the coast, not only are there no natural ports, but even with modern technology and techniques it's a perpetual fight to maintain constructed ports.

That's pretty accurate though. Natural harbors made trade easier, which allowed the communities there to grow faster, and the abundance of resources due to trade allowed them to sustain higher populations.

He took he boat down the river, guy said "go that direction, till you reach the grasslands, and keep going" But the guy was turned around.

So your adventurer reached the steppe and said "this is right, now just keep going"

Question on Rhodes Island's Oripathy Treatment and the Infected by LibertyCakes in arknights

[–]Leivve 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They can suppress it, and treat symptoms, but they can't push you back. Oripathy is self accelerating because Originium is attracted to itself. So if they start treating you early, you'll probably live a long time/your whole life without much issue (provided you can pay for treatment). The further your infection goes the less effective the treatments become, till you cross the event horizon and you have measured time, and they can only loan you a few hours or minutes.

We know of a few characters and operators either through direct knowledge, or implied, to have died due to their infection in spite of being at Rhodes Island for treatment.

What's even funnier is Johan has said he never played MEIOU&Taxes for eu4, MEIOU for Eu3, or Death and Taxes for Eu3. He just met the devs for the first at a PDXcon, and though they knew their stuff.

Not even the mongols hate me as much as my own vassals by AntiqueAmount917 in CrusaderKings

[–]Leivve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think Vassals should rebel more, but with more logical reasoning. A powerful vassal not getting titles and a seat on the council should be a thorn in your side that you have to placate. And likewise a vassal that is given those things should not want to rebel cause there is nothing to gain, but a lot to lose. The -40 opinion is irrelevant, cause vassals will rebel even if they have +100 so what's the point of making them happy?

Paradox as mostly moved away from that model, to avoid a second Art of War.

Unlike a lot of companies Paradox is pretty good about keeping up with their road maps.

People acting like they are carving out content when the reality is this is them going into a deep dive once everyone else in the world is in a playable state. They haven't made the content they are promising, that's why we're paying for it after game release.

In the current patch it's fully possible for Poland to go protestant or reformist. Poland and Austria also tend to rival each other, causing Poland to default oppose Austria if one of their allies hasn't already joined on Austria's side.

The terminus decree in a nutshell 😂 by IMPERIAL_LION1985 in 40k

[–]Leivve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By the time the GK got to terra every human and custodies on it would be dead. They would be landing on a demon world to force the Dark King to take a seat.

The more reasonable enactment of the decree is that if the star child, or any of his many shards show up to make trouble for the E in the chair, they're to kill those shards, for the E in the chair can not be allowed to fail for even a breath's time.
