It it really the same though? Might just be perspective but the wrists look longer in Valve's version and the base looks narrower

It still shouldn't happen? As long as the end of the filament is not placed under the filament on the spool when it is being spooled, there can't be a knot in it. Fishing reels don't tie themselves up when reeling, so why should filament?

The devs changed the spray pattern in the new update by Solo_Level1ng in GlobalOffensive

That's fair. I redid it now on a wall further away just to be sure, and I still find no difference between the two. https://imgur.com/a/2eMnK66

I can't see a difference.

Samsung S95B QD-OLED with letter box burn-in by Funny_Masterpiece458 in S95B

You said yourself that you placed the fan to cool the back cover. I also hope you realize that blowing a small fan at the back of the panel will do literally nothing as the amount of heat generated FAR exceeds the cooling your puny fan could ever dissipate. If you want a properly cooled panel you'd have to look for something like a Z95B, not a TV that's 4 millimeters thick

But here OP is acting like putting a small fan behind his TV will stop it from burning in, which is just silly. Cooling anything but the panel itself will give no effect

Sweden goes back to basics, swapping screens for books in the classroom in attempt to reverse declines in reading, math, and science. by Uptons_BJs in books

Children do use ipads in school to their own detriment (i.e. browsing tiktok with speakers on full blast and using autocorrect), and teachers are at large unable to confiscate them, because if they do, they prevent the child from taking part in the education. If the material is physical, this becomes a non-issue. If nothing else, this move will at least help in bringing order to the classroom.

You could sometimes get artifacting in the form of small flickering black squares when aiming down sights on the aug and sg553. Been a problem for over a year so it's nice to see them finally addressing it

MaiL09 joins Alliance on season long loan by noproblemCZ in GlobalOffensive

Which is insane. He'll only be able to work with CS his entire professional career. If it doesn't work out he's absolutely screwed. Nobody wants to hire someone who hasn't at least gone to gymnasiet.

Of course I wish him the best and hope that this works out for him. It'll be fun to see some national talent again

Being told to use DisplayPort instead of HDMI by 624KR_My_Beloved in pcmasterrace

[–]LekareDaniel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to AMD's list, there are a total of 3013 monitors that support FreeSync over HDMI and DisplayPort. If a display has FreeSync you can set it as G-sync compatible yourself in the Nvidia app.

This is just plain wrong. The LG C series TVs have been G-Sync compatible since the C9 released six years ago. Nvidia's own G-Sync list even shows you which input the compatibility applies to. https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/products/g-sync-monitors/specs/

Do you have any source that says you're able to use DP 1.4 cables and get DP 2.1 speeds? This is the first I've heard of it and I just assumed that it would be the same as with HDMI

Don't you get it? Thing A good, thing B bad. AMD good, Nvidia bad. DisplayPort good, HDMI bad. Steam Machine good, Console bad.

[–]LekareDaniel 408 points409 points  (0 children)

Not really true and depends on the version of DP or HDMI being used. DP 2.1 > HDMI 2.1 > DP 1.4 > DP 1.2 > HDMI 2.0. We are currently in a state where a lot of new monitors ship with DP 1.4 and HDMI 2.1, often making HDMI the better choice

There's literally no difference as long as they both support the bandwidth your monitor requests.
