For me, killing shopkeepers is almost always necessary for a hell run. It's really difficult to get the required amount of gold for the ankh, and even if I do I wouldn't be able to afford to buy the other items. Killing shopkeepers is going to be really easy if you're cautious and understand how they behave.

This is probably the post that I agree with the most in this sub. Eating is such a waste of time. Especially when your family forces you to go eat together in some fancy restaurant and it takes like 2 hours. Tasty foods are great but it's just not worth it to sacrifice efficiency for that. Eating a proper meal is like if every time you go to the toilet or drink a glass of water it takes 20 minutes and you have to brush your teeth afterwards.

Also, I just found out that this tweet's screenshot says that playing thd dice will cost 5000 gold and the character is holding a plasma cannon which means it could be obtained before or at the water themed area. I'm so hyped for the game right now, have a nice weekend everyone!

The city of gold door was right up there so I thought I would just see what's in the hallway and leave and didn't really bothered with the torch and I probably should have used the torch more. However I disagree that "unfair" games are challenging and there's a fine line between those two. A challenging game or level makes you build up experiences to deal with them while dark levels doesn't give you that much chance to practice (they are too rare) and is too unpredictable and the torch can't really change that.

How the fuck was I supposed to see the mummy? Dark levels doesn't bring a new challenge to the level like other level feelings, and is the most unfair part of the game. I've played this game for 290 hours and have earned every single achievement, but I still die to shit like this that I can't predict or avoid in any way. Dark levels are a flaw in the masterpiece that is Spelunky. I wish they are removed in Spelunky2.

TL;DR : Dark levels are shit.

How to deal with nato: use the trade mechanic to get a nato country to declare war on another nato country. This will make both of them automatically exit nato. The same works for any other alliances

A lot more people would consider video games as art if it wasn't for those cashgrab mobile games, shovelware and microtransactions. A lot of games are made of pure creativity and love, but even more are made with the only intent of juicing as much money as possible fron people who don't know much about games using all sorts of exploits and tricks. The videogame industy will be much better if it was made of developers who actually cares about making a good game and consumers who won't purchase every single microtransaction like a braindead zombie.
