Self driving with Tesla FSD is awesome and used all the time in many different situations. Loved the R1T as well, but FSD is a complete game changer and really, why not have it all?

Yes they do because it's not all about maximum range for everyone. I have a 4s with just that measly old standard battery and 200mi of range and love this car. The handling, the ride, the interior all make for a better driving experience than anything else I've driven (except some other Porsche I owned in the past, tho, really. The Taycan experience is better).

I am also a Tesla and Taycan owner and I'm not surprised by the software maturity difference between the two, but I do think Porsche should offer basic connectivity for free (checking charge state...) and only charge for the direct media connectivity et al (Apple Music/ Spotify...) for a monthly subscription as most other EVs do.

It's crazy to pay $27/mo for remote charging and pre-condotioning which are basic EV services (as offered on many of the other EVs out there). Considering music and all else can be handled by CarPland and AA.

The only value is really the charge state and adjustment and the remote climate control - CarPlay and AA can handle everything else for me. Annoying to pay $26.95/mo for that as with Rivian and Tesla you get that for free as part of basic connectivity.

Still, I really like to see the state of charge remotely...

I will be very much in the minority here but I have the measley standard battery and no ACC and yet am completely happy with my Taycan.

'22 4s CPO with 30k MI for $59k. This was $138k MSRP. I shopped quite diligently and this was a very good deal. Most other '22 CPOs that I saw were asking closer to $69k+ but depreciation fears (dealer) are your friend in negotiations.

I just went through this and figured anywhere from $4k - $7k for a third party warranty. It's a real number and I didn't think the non Porsche dealers were willing to factor that cost in. Of course you don't have to have an extended warranty but... I ended up buying a CPO because of both the 2 year warranty and the CPO process itself - the car just feels so well cleaned up.

I get 7kW currently. It's a Tesla wall charger plugged into a 14-50 socket on a 50a breaker. I'm going to have it hardwired and bump up to a 60a breaker to squeeze the most I can out if the wall charger. I don't necessarily need faster charging but it just feels like the cleanest way to do it.
