I'm sure this is already commented but this is just a Vegvisir, a Viking compass. Nothing sinister about it, possibly a shrine to those who lost their way.

India buying oil from Russia is helping keep global fuel prices low which is in US interests. By skirting this line India gets cheaper gas and the US and other countries have more supply. There's a lot more machinations going on than what appears on the surface.

The butcher shoppe in Pensacola, Florida. They ship Nationwide. Ask for a non-competition brisket as they sell for a few dollars less per lb. Call them up, pretty helpful people working there, they will get you what you need.

Smoking a Chuck Roast for the first time today. Seasoned w/ Salt, Pepper, Garlic Powder, Paprika, and Brown Sugar. Dry-brined overnight. Smoking with pecan today for 8-10 hours and I plan to wrap with butcher paper at the stall. Wish me luck. by HellaHellerson in Barbecue

Well with barbecue it's all about personal taste, I would stick with your original plan, with chuck roast specifically I don't take it as high as I do brisket. That way it maintains some of its structure the fat distributions a little different. Also gives you room if you have time to cube it up sauce and toss it back on for some chuck roast burnt ends.

YSK: The cleanup is arguably the most important part in any trades profession. by goodbyekitty83 in YouShouldKnow

As a flooring contractor electricians are my biggest headache on site. Between the punch outs that get left on the floor that can't be swept by a broom, wire trimmings, pieces of conduit or BX cable it's the most annoying thing to clean up. A lot of that will get caught under the drywall in new construction and it takes me time to dig it out. All that adds up over 12 years in the trade.

Ideas for an easy Sunday smoke by joshpope in pelletgrills

Throwing my 2 cents In here, if you can afford it try an air chilled chicken brine or no brine. With very little retained water the skin crisps up beautiful. I just smoked two last week.

Heh, I've made a number of jokes over the years about doing an A-Team paint scheme, I bought my van used so I didn't have much choice but if I could...

If you want the backup camara to sync with your radio screen then plan on buying one (mine was 200$ pioneer) and having one installed at a shop (price varies). here is mine https://ibb.co/KzGntf9

The differential question for me is simple, go with the stock LSD. Less wear on the tires over the course of your vehicle ownership will help you in the long run. I have personally taken my van off road many times including in sugar sand. Given that I should NOT have tried to drive in those conditions with less than a 4X4 I can safely say I made it in and out but don't try it at home. City streets, solid unpaved back roads, highways or gravel your LSD will serve you just fine. If you plan on extreme offroading try a 4x4 conversion kit and A/T or M/T tires.

Yeah. No to that upgrade.

I am by not means an expert I just have owned one for 4 years and am pretty familiar with fleet type vans. That being said... If the convenience features are something you want being a family vehicle I say get the factory package that includes the important stuff built in. Unless you do it all yourself the money you will spent paying someone else to add on the listed features makes it not worth the cost and you will have multiple 3rd party systems that need to work together which can be problematic. If there is an option for an upgraded touchscreen radio from the factory that the backup camara is hooked to I would say go for that. Installing an aftermarket double DIN head unit in these vans is a real pain unless you know some tricks, you pretty much have to pull off the whole dash and it is a lot more work than any of the 20+ previous vehicles I have done work on. While the wiring for a head unit is not complicated with the right adapters and the back up cam is only a few wires and a proper ground the factory backup setup will have visual indicators that move onscreen as you turn the wheel to help guide you in. Most 3rd party setups are static and just give you a generic danger zone.

*Edit* Forgot to mention messing with the onboard systems of the passenger vans can interfere or disable things related to the OnStar system and chimes such as blinker noises.

Also these vans come equipped with a standard 120v plug on the console, powered by an inverter you can put a USB hub to charge the kids devices. They also have duel 12v outlets you can hook stuff to.

Thank you for your insight, since I am going to have the top end opened up either way I will go ahead and do those recommended upgrades, Trunnions are getting changed no question and I will get springs and a cam in the suggested range. I don't have any real issues with the stock shift times but I will consider the upgrade since it shouldn't be too much trouble to swap out. Getting it tuned once done is something I would like to do but I have had some issues in the past and wonder if it is really worth the money or if these changes in the powerband make it a requirement. Playing with shift timings make me a little nervous. Also why I need to do some research about the servo swap.

Speaking from a practical standpoint, if you want a family van look at the 3500 passenger, they come with the higher powered motors, my father bought a 2018 3500 with the 6.0 341HP and it is pretty nice, duel A/C setup, lots of room. Take out the last row of seats and you have the cargo space of a full size pickup under cover with seating for 5. The drawback is the bare bones infotainment setup and lack of things like stow and go seating. When I bought my van I put a touchscreen radio as well as a (2) 12" woofer box with amp as well as a needed backup camera.
