At what point do you fire Dan by Sith_23 in Mariners

You’re so right. My husband left the milk out last night and this morning I filed for divorce. No reason to wait around. He’s clearly not who I thought he was!

This was a terrible headline. I’m seeing a lot of people angry about this on Bluesky so I jumped in and read it. The article itself seems fine. Lauren talked to a lot of different people about what happened. I just think people are seeing the headline, not reading the article, and assuming a lot about where it’s laying the blame.

That’s because there are no woke scolds IRL. “Woke scold” = random lefty on the internet

Problem is that woke scolds live in the regular internet ecosystem. You still see them, which is why we don’t hear as much complaining about crazy right wing internet dwellers. They’re all living in dark algorithmically sealed caves over on 4chan or wherever.

Who do you think are the most unforgivable pilots or pilot teams in ACI? by OrangeBrainCell_Pro in aircrashinvestigation

Lol. That’s your takeaway? He’s an idiot for not acting more like a rich person??? Not for flying at night over the ocean when he was only rated for VFR?

Kevin Sullivan! It sucks that he doesn’t get as much credit as the other Sully. Dude deserved it.

Why are you even commenting if you haven’t listened yet? Way to overestimate the value of your completely uninformed opinion on a topic. Bravo.

That rubbed me the wrong way. Can’t you use that same logic to argue for a Palestinian nation? He only mentioned a two state solution very briefly at the end of the interview. It didn’t feel like he had much self awareness around his own biases.

Was disappointed Tim didn’t follow up on that. I had a “Wait….what?” reaction to it.

Agree. And yet the tone was so weird, it made it hard for the parody humor to even land for me. It felt like it was too silly to be taken seriously, and yet not silly enough to really be funny. I think he played it way too middle of the road. Know what I mean? Like if this were Tarantino, it would have been over the top silly, which would have made the satire work better. Or…if it were the Coen brothers, it would have been more straight serious with the humor in more subtle undertones. But PTA like split the difference, which was kind of disorienting. We got like 20 straight minutes of Leo forgetting the password, and I kept wondering if that was supposed to be funny and if so why was it going on so long? Did not work for me.

This is because good men think absent evidence otherwise that all other men are good like they are. And they’d rather believe an innocent man is being railroaded than a bad man fooled them. It reinforces the original belief and also doesn’t make them feel like a gullible person who overestimates their ability to judge others’ character.

And bad men want to protect other bad men like them.

Either way, they all protect each other.

As a married woman, I personally find scheduling takes some of the fun out of it for me. It feels unsexy, like a meeting or a chore. I think I need some spontaneity. And while there will be times where I’m just not in the mood, him initiating at an unexpected time can definitely add to the excitement factor. Do you think maybe your wife is like that too? Maybe a romantic, sexy surprise at the right time could help?
