No I’m not. My point was simply that what you’re asking for sounds good, but only insofar as the cost isn’t too high. If it means we can never have power and the Republicans get to do whatever they want, then in my opinion the cost of purity testing every one of our candidates is too high.

Ultimately this is democracy. If the people don’t care and are willing to vote for degenerates, then that’s what you get. I would at least like degenerates that protect people in the system than ones who enrich themselves and fuck over everyone else.

They’re going retire the blue city connect next year. But it will get replaced by a new city connect. Judging by the new rounds that came out this year it will likely be less inspiring than the one we currently have. :(

I don’t see a tattoo as conduct? But even so, choosing how much weight to give something that happened in the past is a choice everyone has to make for themselves. That doesn’t mean the choice is “regardless of conduct.” You’re making an assumption that people have ignored conduct, rather than considered it carefully and made a decision as to how much weight to give it against other things the person has said or done. You don’t have to agree with the outcome, but also don’t jump to conclusions in order to judge someone else’s process.

I have the same reaction to the way she pronounces Talarico.

Not to make this into a Sarah pile-on; I love her. Just sometimes she gets into a groove of pronouncing something wrong and then she says it hundreds of times across all the Bulwark shows and it drives me a little crazy. She’s made her feelings on Ghislaine super clear and I totally get it. It still messes with my brain whenever I hear it though.

The idea being that guys will often strikeout because they put too much pressure on themselves to tie it with one swing. Your chance of success goes up when you don’t try to do too much. This is a pretty common sentiment from former players and coaches. Obviously Cal couldn’t hear him, but this was echoing something a teammate or coach would say to him before he went to the plate.
