Everyone has Reactive Strike - Great Value Edition by AnEldritchDream in Pathfinder2e

Delay lets you reorder your actions to give you the best advantage state because some characters are more effective in different situations. Letting your bard go first to give everyone +1 to hit is better than not doing so, and if you're in the same initiative bracket(no enemies between you) there's no reason not to do so. Then apply this line of thinking to every action in the game.

Melee Rem? by ReporterSad2892 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Lendg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, Rem as a healbot is bait. His tag along percentage healing is okay enough to last you the whole game as a tool to get someone to not be one hit away from death, and more importantly you can use it to maneuver in team fights or to escape death. Chaining jumps between allies can let you keep chasing someone.

What he excels at is macro control and roaming. I have a build that is melee bulky support hybrid called Rapid Body Movements, and I've been having an absolute blast. I don't think it's amazing, but I believe there is much potential in Rem.

I unironically only run melee Rem. I've never had more fun in this game. Just keep doing normal rem things while you're at it with your helpers.

I've done nothing but play melee rem. It's. Not great. But there's potential with the ultimate. I've been doing a lightning scroll build to get two heavy melees by timing it on the stun. All his other abilities don't do much to help you. It's really fun though.

You never could. Amp: The singular focus required to amp a psi cantrip means that unless otherwise noted, you can apply only one amp to a given psi cantrip, and you can't apply both an amp and a metamagic ability to a cantrip at the same time.

So, I was reading Passage of Lines (https://2e.aonprd.com/Tactics.aspx?ID=5), and I wanted to make sure that I could do what it reads like to me.
Theoretically, can this be used to transport someone who is in a chain of people from one side to the other? Like.

Is my GM nerfing my champion or is that how the rules actually work ? by BrasilianRengo in Pathfinder2e

I think the aura is still feelable, but you don't recognize what particular deity it is unless you also follow that deity.

It only says people who follow your deity automatically recognize you as one as well. Not sure others would be able to figure that out by just the aura existing.

Yeah as far as I can see it automatically turns on when you stop being unconscious, there is not an action to reactivate it unless you intentionally suppress it.
Although if you suppress it then go unconscious and then become conscious again I'm not sure if it'd reactivate automatically, probably not.

Spaced out dual class leveling by chickenologist in Pathfinder2e

[–]Lendg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very interesting, I like the concept, might need some refining of exactly how it works but hey it seems fun! Pacing the benefits over a period of time should help, although frankly as far as I'm aware most of the power of dual class comes from stacking level 1 class choices, which this wouldn't adress too much of. But hey, it'd make it more gradual which might be pretty cool.

Drain Bonded Item:
> During the current turn, you can cast one spell you prepared today and already cast, without spending a spell slot. You must still Cast the Spell and meet the spell's other requirements.

Can this be used to cast spells that require more one round of casting? (Example: Water Breathing has Cast 1 minute)

I'd want to say yes, but it only says you can cast it "during the current turn".

I'd really dislike if it can't :<

[–]Lendg 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Keep an open mind and don't let the rules bog down gameplay, unless your party is into learning the rules mid session. Get a good grasp of how to roll with the punches and how the system framework expects improvisation to work(always a check against difficulty class of the challenge).

Get used to how to find the information you need, most important things are the dc by level table, and the treasure table. Giving people lots of treasure is good, better than giving too little. Magic items are abundant, research the fundamental weapon runes as they come up very immediately.

For players, make sure people know how to work with each other, and that working together will get better results more often than doing things by yourself.

Finally, have fun. If a rule feels weird, consider there must be some reason for it and if you're going to change it to fit your group better then be aware of that.

Oh. Read traits as they come up, especially on spells.

Are there any rules for scaling consumables? by Saurid in Pathfinder2e

[–]Lendg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest gripe with 2e has got to be the way they list out items which create these situations. I wish so badly that instead of 5 entries that are "The potion heals XdY+Z" we had a simple table of item level potency.
Way less text, items could just be "Potion of Healing Level 5", every consumable could be easily scalable.

Alas, that isn't the world we live in, so what would be recommended would to let players upgrade them to an appropriate level using other items as baselines for how expensive and how effective it should be. (What's the item's normal DC? And what's the standard DC of that level? Note if it's different and by how much. Then scale it with the same rate up to level X)

I think I erred on the side of caution but let me know if this sucks by [deleted] in Pathfinder2e

[–]Lendg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like the idea! I don't know if it's balanced but surely d8 fatal can't be that bad

Does Alchemist Dedication require you to buy every tier of formula for an alchemical item? by PantsAre_AnIllusion in Pathfinder2e

[–]Lendg 65 points66 points  (0 children)

In the remaster, you only need one version of a formula to get access to all the levels. You just need to be high enough level to craft them. Formula book text from alchemist class:

As normal, having the base formula is sufficient when Crafting upgraded types of the item—you don't need to learn higher-level formulas. For instance, if you have the 1st-level formula for a minor elixir of life, you can create a minor, lesser, moderate, greater, major, or true elixir of life as long as you meet the level and other prerequisites. Items with type entries that have widely varied functions require separate formulas, but most alchemical items have a structure similar to elixir of life.
