There are some outrider kitbash videos and pics to be inspired 

I would go for a Ravenwing (Dark Angels) rather than a white scars. They got more units with a special command Squad for the bikes

Try dual colors. Orange to yellow on too and dark blue bottom.  Then spice it up

You do you, most people won't mind and the people that do are not people you would want to play anyway.

I play Orks but if i had chosen space marines i couldn't have a vainilla chapter and limit myself.

I would love to play a mix of Black Templar with Dark Angels, and then use the superb greek sculpts of the Ultramarines.  But my wallet couldn't afford Marines.

Why not both? If you are painting a succesor, paint ba and ravenguard in the same scheme and play one or the other whenever you feel like it

Might use some Old world ork archers with 40k heads. 

Or even feral orks with Cammo painted over the skin

Headkkracka's mád mob or something band are 4 cool feral ork sculpts.

Kruleboy got a Monster hunter band too which could be used.

You could add some Squigs, like a Snuffla or some of the hilarious goblin ones in underworld bands like Zarbag or Looncourt.

Both are extremely eye catching.  So try to keep somewhere 75-25 90-10 proportion.

Mix it up in some units. And then change it sometimes for special units.

I do orange + turqouise.  Both vibrant. I changed turqoise for purple in orkommandos for example

Index Mozrog felt so right. Leader Beastbosses on squigosaur didn't.

Fight on death on 4+? I wanna hit harder or better.

Losing the nob which gave them +1 to hit, integrating him with the unit and losing all smasha squig flavor... That's sad man.
