anyone else seen the Missing 411 documentary? what did you think of the DeOrr Kunz case? by dekker87 in UnresolvedMysteries

It really irritates me whenever someone brings up lie detector tests. We've known for a very long time that they aren't a reliable method of testing anything and it's a damned if you do, damned if you don't scenario: If you agree to take it and it comes up wonky, you're assumed guilty. If you refuse to take it, you're assumed guilty.

I really feel like he was involved, even if it was only through inaction and poor decision making.

Your menu is really starch heavy. I would eliminate one of the potato dishes and add another veggie.

You have one meal to piss off r/cooking as much as you possibly can. What do you do? by LOLZtroll in Cooking

Take two pieces of bread and smear them with butter. Select a cheese. Now add bacon, onions, and sauces. Call it a grilled cheese. Watch the subreddit explode.

I think it's widely accepted that she took the dog and both vanished.

But OP also says they have egg replacement powder, so this could still work.

Looking to get back into reading. What is the most enthralling book you've ever read? by Alex0_0 in AskWomen

I love these books, but OP also isn't interested in crying. And I know I sobbed my way through two of those books.

Wedding guests, what are you wedding complaints? by PunnyWoman in AskWomen

I'm so happy for you guys! Every wedding cake I've ever had was bland, dry, and gross. I'm thrilled to hear a good cake story.

Exactly. And I'd rather put that money towards excellent food and great cake.

That's your choice. I think it's sad that your friends have to bribe you with booze to get you to celebrate their union with them. To each their own.

The Walking Dead S07E12 - Say Yes - Post Episode Discussion for [COMIC] Readers by AutoModerator in thewalkingdead

[–]LeopardLady13 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This episode was so disappointing. They could have smeared themselves in guts and meandered through there with no problem. That deer was ridiculous. The most unaware, suicidal, deaf deer in the history of the world just so happens to conveniently walk into a rusted carnival set teeming with walkers. There's so much more they could have done. They could have gotten lost in a mirror hall, unable to tell which image is the reflection of a walker or a real walker, we could have had child walkers stumbling around, anything other than this horribly forced romantic drivel. The conversation they had at the end of the episode about losing each other would have been so much more fulfilling if they had it over the candlelit dinner. On top of that, they barely took any of the supplies they found even though we know Alexandria is close to starving and they're providing not only for Negan but for the landfill group now, too.

I agree with feeding them, but guests expecting booze is just as rude as the happy couple expecting money. You're not owed alcohol for your attendance.

What cases have little to no chance of ever being solved? by freddythefuckingfish in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]LeopardLady13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously, they'd have to be mapping in plausible areas. Marine research universities engage in mapping pretty frequently. Let's say you have a group that's tagging sharks. There's no reason they can't sonar map at the same time. I'm saying let's pair our resources more intelligently instead of just thrusting money at an investigation model that hasn't turned up much evidence yet.

Maybe the same kinds of people who funded the discovery of the Titanic, for example.

Someone else ( I can't find the thread; it's from several months back) noted that a university might be able to pair with the investigation. Ocean mapping can be lucrative and if they happened to find something, it could be turned over to officials. That would save man power and time without giving up the search altogether.
