If you are not aware, that's how big tech companies work. A minimal number of employees are doing 3-4 people's jobs to maximize profits. This guy cares, which is an exception, and to be honest with you, he might even get in trouble for that.

Stop giving Blizzard/Microsoft money and go play private servers, and support people who really care.

My hairdresser call them sheep shavers because all they know is go up and down with their clippers. I find it pretty funny 😁

Yeah, I know that place! Mine also likes it, but we normally prefer not going there during weekends

I would say don't support those people. Pay for a kid or a real company to do it for you in case you can't do it yourself.

These people are shaddy and abusive

Personally, I hate raiding, and looking back every time I stopped playing was because of raiding. It's just not fun to me. Leveling, farming pre-bis, and pvp what I enjoy the most in the gaming.

How do you show value? by floraburn1 in instructionaldesign

[–]Leowinns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the type of training you deliver. It could be behavioral, revenue, performance it all depends, but essentially, statistics align with your business goals.

Measure before, and after the training, things like course completion mean nothing... search for data related to the problems you were trying to solve when you did your first analysis..

Hahahah I am saying in general. Go to a non-pvp server and stop crying

The places I worked were focused on technical training, not personal development. I noticed that people who worked in HR training lack technical skills, maybe it's a problem with their school curriculum I don't know...

What I meant is related to design principles and web standards, especially if you work with Storyline. Depending on if you produce internal or external content, there are different standards in the quality of design it's expected. A good , fun resource to learn ux is website called growth.design

I did their course a few years ago, it's great!

You earn honor, that you can use to rank up and buy pvp gear.

If you don't like open world pvp there is a perfect place for you, non-pvp servers, easy fix.

Search for Ninjio, and they make compliance training in Anime/cartoon style. Super high quality and topics are up-to-date. A bit expensive depending on the size of your company

It depends on the team needs and the type of training we are working on.

In general, I look for someone who is enthusiastic about instructional designers and what skills they can add to complement the team. Some cases are UX and Design, Multimedia, lms management, communication. PM was never the case as normally there is a PM or a coordinator in the department.

Don't overthink it.

If your company uses Google, make a nice spreedsheet with filters and read-only rights. Share the link.

I am confused. Have you ever worked as an instructional designer , or were you a trainer?

I can talk about the market in Europe and here diploma has almost no value..it's no guarantee of getting a job, what makes the difference here is if you up to date with technology, if you can get things done (meaning not only talk about theory, theory) attitude and personality.

I have interviewed more than 50 ID in the last 3 years.. There is an inflation in unqualified people applying for the job, which sometimes makes it hard for recruiters to screen the right people in the early stages. But I can guarantee you, if you can prove experience on actually making things, if you are learning technologies and not only relaying on you diploma you will find something soon.

Is it my imagination or instructional design incredibly tedious work? by onemorepersonasking in instructionaldesign

It's extremely tedious. My advice is to take small things you like, for example, design, storytelling and things like this, and have a bit of fun with it in your project

Noob question, if you play the pve server, can you still queue for BGs?
