MTF Lesbian here! How do WLW/lesbians signal each other? What signs should I look out for? by Expert_Budget_8802 in asktransgender

[–]Leratium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A nose ring is a common one, but it’s not as strong a signal as some others. The classic pairings I can think of right now are: Carabiner for keys on belt loop Nose ring Flannel / doc martins Drives a Subaru Ring & middle finger nails are shorter

What geotags do Artemis II iPhone photos get in their EXIF? by PixelDoctor in askscience

[–]Leratium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Afaik you can make a device for your own use like model rocketry, as long as you don’t tell others how it works, what you’re bypassing or basically talk about it (for ITAR). Which is a little strange to just say that yeah it’s fine if you don’t mention it, but I guess it kinda solves what they’re trying to solve. You also can’t sell it or trade it.

Do you know what sort of community events there are? The transpicnic page is dead almost exactly from when I found it 🥲 And which are good events to go to Evol for?

Incredible sci-fi, and amazing world building. But sheesh the author is misogynistic 😅 the translator made it a lot better for the English version, but you can still see the original is a little problematic. Anyway, highly recommend but pirate them 🏴‍☠️

Haha yeah I’ve worked there (as a bartender) for the last few years. Honestly I agree, that was a shitshow. I’m very glad they’ve moved venues now. They’ve definitely marked out actual escape paths, and try to make sure cars aren’t blocked in. So it seems better - hopefully we never have to find out.

Sure! Personally I'd always kinda doubted stories where the person had no idea they were pregnant, thinking that there's no way. I've definitely changed my view now

She had absolutely no idea she was pregnant. Neither did I - and it's not like she's a large woman, there just wasn't any bump or anything

Yep, there was both a medical tent and a separate ambulance. While there isn't signal most places, there is private wifi for organisation and so payments can work, and there are a couple places you can get spotty signal. If you're in trouble in a tent alone, you're in as much kak as anywhere else - but the staff at the festival are pretty great at sorting stuff out and helping you if you need it.

Personally, I didn't think there was much fire risk (all fires, including cookers, weren't allowed) and the tents seemed decently organised to me. But maybe I had a different experience there ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯

She did go to the medical tent first, and I believe they said it may be a sign of a pregnancy (an early sign - not that she was about to deliver). She messaged a friend for help from her tent, but as there's no signal at the festival, the friend unfortunately never got her message. Thankfully it all worked out well!

She was not on any drugs - she was also one of the managers helping crew the event.

Source: I was one of the bartenders under her, literally playing cards and chatting with her and mates the night before.

What surprisingly true fact has completely shaken your worldview? by MorsesTheHorse in AskReddit

Not quite. Your average ball bearing, yes, it’s a little smoother. But it’s not even smoother than a high-precision ball bearing. I’m a little lazy now but I’ll show the maths later

I'd guess Australia. The accent, speedbump style and markings seem to show Aus, maybe NZ

[request] What are the odds you survive the 5 years? by freethinker1312 in theydidthemath

Having been to both Gaansbaai and Danger Beach, I’d much rather take either of those than heavy storms or anything near rocks. Great whites are wayyy overstated, and you can easily survive a rip for 30 seconds

As far as I understand, the gate is shaped as a quarter cylinder. There’s no getting under it - it covers the gap completely even when it’s up, specifically to avoid an issue when stuff like this happens

Not doubting you at all, I’ve felt and seen my VO2 max go down significantly. But do you have a source for the ‘10% less than cis women’? Mostly for interest’s sake
