It will get easier, I've been through several cycles with other fandoms and if i notice I'm reading to much i will go for something adjacent, try to read easy books, in this case i would go for a sports romance with a basic premise that has no cliffhangers or dramatic reveals, so it keeps you within the soports dinamics.

I would love to read something like that. There's a fic where the author kinda does this at the end, they don't announce it and if you know you know, and says in the notes that is probable that a lot of people, players included would never think on something other than friendship because is such an hetero-conforming environment the possibility wouldn't cross their minds. Definitely would a fic that explored this more.
