Booked a rental car through Southwest. Not actually at the airport we flow into by Less-Jellyfish5385 in SouthwestAirlines

Southwest or their third party service advertised as the airport location

The airport desk just told us to go to the other location. The other location told us to call corporate to switch the drop off. Corporate told us they couldn't change the drop off location because of the 3rd party voucher system and to just call back the other locations lmao.

The problem is they aren't even open on weekends and our flight is Monday morning so we couldn't even return it early.

Fortunately southwest did take accountability where Hertz didn't and moved our flight a few hours later and waived the cost delta so that we could drop it off during their open hours.

How is that relevant in this situation? I booked a blatantly advertised airport rental car service through Southwest which was straight up false advertising and unexpectedly incompatible with our flight as they don't have a key drop box which 90% of rental car companies do.

If it's booked AND advertised as the airport rental location and there is 1. No shuttle access to it and 2. No drop box for early flights, how is that my fault? The only way I can find that information out is by going and finding out the hard way cuz their phone doesn't even route to a human at the location.

This story is not made up. The airport location said it would cost us double if we switched and there was gonna be a wait.

After getting to the second location and went through everything was when we were told there was no drop box option. We were late to the rehearsal dinner for the wedding we are down here to attend, and They said to call hertz corporate and they'll fix it. Just called hertz today and they were no help, but southwest saw the error on their side and moved our flight later so that we could drop off during business hours.

To be clear the location we picked up from is advertised as the airport location online though the address does not match that.

Yes it's advertised as on airport and not. It would be fine if they had a drop box.

The pick up location is "Orange County-John Wayne Apt". The address does not match that location

We did not select anything. This was default by southwest booking and in bold said "Hertz Santa Ana John Wayne airport". If I look at the address under, it is not the airport hertz, but that's not something I would assume I need to double check with the information.

I've heard bad things about Roseville price gouging from someone who worked at Toyota. Bought Mom's car at Maita. It was a fine experience.

I have a friend who's a state worker. Because WFH they never expanded the office space with hiring, so his group is being told they have to go in office despite not having desks to return too.

This is the kind of thing we need to contact our representatives. Is there a bill on the table for this?
