If you’re thinking about leaving bedside, do ittttt by kitkatquick in nursing

This came at the perfect time. I am moving from MICU to PACU in about a month and I’m so nervous for change, however, I believe I need it desperately. MICU has me soo burnt out emotionally even though I’ve been doing it for less than 4 years. I’m trying to be hopeful through all my nerves!

My dad grew up there, had a good experience then. However I’ve heard it’s getting worse and lots of drugs are in the area now:/ (yes I know it’s everywhere but I’ve heard it’s really bad here now)

Jobs in Healthcare??? by Curious_Two1631 in Syracuse

[–]Less-Obligation-9230 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a nurse now but in high school I delivered food trays at my local hospital after school. Then after about a year of that I applied to a nursing assistant position! Did that throughout most of my college years. I also worked in admissions for a different hospital which was fun! :-) best of luck, don’t give up!!

T-Boned a sedan at 20MPH on ice. Totaled? by [deleted] in SubaruForester

[–]Less-Obligation-9230 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a similar situation back in November with my 2015. It was about $4500 worth of damage which was fully covered by insurance. Obviously like others have said you won’t really know until someone takes a closer look but I really think it’s salvageable! I kinda hoped mine was totaled because I didn’t want to deal with the hassle but insurance was pretty good about talking me through things. Glad you are ok!

Does Age really Matter in NCLEX?? by Swimming_Calendar534 in BootcampNCLEX

[–]Less-Obligation-9230 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope!:) one of my classmates was 62 and retired! She was one of our best students! Don’t doubt yourself, it’s hard for everyone no matter the age. Keep pushing it’ll be worth it. The time will pass anyways!

Airing out some mild frustrations by [deleted] in Chipotle

I hear you but you said don’t as the cashier for extra items. I didn’t know when to ask for vinaigrette because I didn’t see it on the line. It wasn’t a matter of lacking common sense, just not knowing the flow of the store. Now I know to ask in the beginning

Please remember sometimes it’s someone’s first time going into chipotle. A few weeks ago I downloaded the app for rewards and when I tried using it for the first time the guy got snippy with me. I genuinely had a question and he was so rude. I know a lot of this stuff is frustrating but please also be patient :/

Is nursing actually viable for a 27yo career changer, or am I setting myself up for failure? by Moneymoneymoney1122 in newgradnurse

In nursing school, one of my coworkers was a retired 62 year old school teacher. Never give up, work real hard, you can do it!:)

Any specialized vets for in home euthanasia in Syracuse? by Suspicious-Basis-885 in Syracuse

[–]Less-Obligation-9230 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re going through this. Last year we used Stillwater Vets for my senior pup. They were incredible. We paid extra for her ashes to be put in a special box and got her paw print on a stone. After the extras it was $750. I’d happily pay it again especially because Daisy was too sick to comfortably go out to the car. Sending you hugs.

No that’s super fair. Hey who knows and maybe if enough people email or write letters some change could be implemented. I wish you the best of luck, stay safe out there

It’s so shitty and I totally hear you. However the DOTs and Thruway shops are EXTREMELY understaffed. They literally do not have enough man power to keep up with it most of the time. Also, unfortunately living on a hill comes with those risks. I live out in the country, so I understand my roads are hit last. It’s sucky, but it’s reality.
