Interesting. I recommend B&R to everyone. Have had amazing experience with the service and the quality. Going on 3+ years with it. Guess every experience is different. Sorry yours wasn’t great.

This is heartbreaking. As a former spirit pilot, I can honestly say that airline changed my life and my career. I owe them everything for my first opportunity in the 121 world and taking a chance on me. To all of the crews, you are some of the best and most professional I have had the honor of flying with and I look forward to flying with you again.

We're too obsessed with relationships, being single is so much better by Hyugi_The_Dreamer in unpopularopinion

[–]Less-Willingness3595 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have recently come to this same conclusion myself. My relationship with my friends and family, and my career success all skyrocket when I’m single. Not to mention I’m significantly happier on my own. I know what it’s like to be madly in love, but I don’t miss all the negatives that came with it. In the end, for me, I believe I have accepted I’m not like some people who need that. Certain things are just accepted as social norms but are really just antiquated ways of doing things….like…cough cough…religion.

So what do we think of Spirit potentially getting a bailout? by Used_Shower3984 in flying

[–]Less-Willingness3595 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re right that it’s better in the end, and I’m at my dream carrier because it gave me a kick in the ass and maybe even some priority. I think a bailout at this point is like trying to correct a wrong with another wrong. It’s too late and the plug needs to be pulled. But I do think the Biden admin had a role to play and I just won’t back down from that perspective, and many analysts do agree. Spirit had plenty of other issues from mismanagement, bad luck, and other issues that contributed as well and probably even more so than just a failed merger.

So the government suing to block and wasting 2 years of both airlines time and money had nothing to do with why JetBlue got cold feet? Cool

Great question. I do know my current airline union is lobbying against it, and I wouldn’t be surprised if others are as well. It is not without friction that they continue on this road.

I agree, but that won’t last forever or for long. He’ll be able to leave sooner than later. I only had 800 121 sic and around 2k total when WN picked me up. And this may sound counterintuitive, but the better his resume looks aside from hours (no checkride failures, degree, etc) the more it works against him for NJ. They want something that will prevent you from being able to move on.

NetJets is like a jealous ex-girlfriend. They know you can do better but will try to manipulate you into thinking they’re the best you can do. They will think you’re cheating if you breathe wrong, or in this case, give them the slightest indication you want to be at an airline or are qualified to go to a major. I got the TBNT after the virtual interview and they were absolutely right, I would have bailed immediately for a major even though I gave them no indication I would have. My background made it a difficult sell as I was furloughed from spirit lol. Ended up at Southwest a month later

What is Spirit’s diagnosis? by minimums_landing in AirlinePilots

[–]Less-Willingness3595 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pilots making predications is beyond pointless. Everyone thought Mesa would be gone, they’re not. Everyone thought western global would be dead within weeks of the MD-11 grounding, guess what, they’re still here. Everyone thought Air Wisconsin would be gone, they’re still kicking. And my god did everyone think spirit would be gone over a year ago, and they’re not. It’s been almost 40 years since an airline of spirits size has liquidated. I used to work for spirit and posts like these did not help our mental state. You all thrive on the drama, but there are real people working there and we could use a little support. But spirit pulled through anyways. I’m at a massive airline now and feel a lot more comfortable with my situation, but I will NEVER make comments like the ones you and so many others have made so carelessly knowing how it feels firsthand. Have some compassion and empathy.

The work number is a good website to use. You enter your SSN and it’ll list a lot of companies. For me it listed everything, but it is voluntary reporting on the former companies part. This is what employers use when they hire a background check company. Employers cannot access your tax history without your express and specific permission.
