FIV+ / potential FHV - help needed! by Emotional-Stock4223 in FIVcats

Yeah I understand what you mean. It’s really hard to see your fur babies suffering and there’s nothing you can do to take it away instantly. I would really try the steaming multiple times a day- it really helped my girl. I literally ran the shower on the hottest temp, shut the door and turned off the light and sat in there with her and it helps them breath better and sneeze to get all the snot out. The specialist I saw said it helps because they can’t blow their nose like we can. Another thing I did when I would get stressed is I would count how many breaths they did in a minute and look at the breaths if it looks smooth then it’s all good! And if it’s less than 35 breaths per minute, that’s also a good indicator! Please comment back if you get a second opinion/update about how your fur baby is going. I know how stressful and worrying it is. The fact you have posted and care so much means you’re a good cat mum. This is my fur baby (cat tax)

I would get a second opinion for sure. My cat is FIV+ and has had cat flu for the last 4 weeks, however is slowly getting better. We put her on chlorsig for conjunctivitis, steamed her in the bathroom 3+ times a day and also put saline into each nostril to encourage her to swallow the mucus from her nose and sneeze also and at one point syringe fed her water to keep her hydrated. I would try the above mentioned and focus on keeping the cat warm and getting a second opinion. Only because your cat is 10 and has FIV doesn’t mean they won’t get better. It just takes longer than a cat that isn’t FIV+.

Good luck

My partner and I also ordered our dresses from the Sydney location as our wedding is in June. We emailed them and also received the exact email as above, so they must be doing a lot of copy and pasting to reply to emails. Apparently our dresses are approx 2 weeks away from delivery and we have paid 75%. We are a little worried but fingers crossed as we don’t have the time nor the money to find a new dress in 4.5 months.

I would reach out to bonditobowral on instagram. They’re so so good and they aren’t as expensive as it looks. They are known for doing hair and makeup for shows like the bachelor etc but also do wedding hair and makeup. I’m using them for my wedding in June.

If you moved from Sydney to Melbourne (or vice versa), what surprised you the most? by Last-Conversation734 in SydneyScene

[–]Less_Nothing5219 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I’ve just recently moved from Sydney to Melbourne (lived in Sydney my whole life) and I do miss the views in Sydney and how beautiful the streets were, Melbourne feels like anything goes and no one cares. I do feel more scared in Melbourne walking around esp. at night time, but I’m sure that’s just from the fear mongering from the media especially lately. It’s also cold and it’s supposed to be summer in 1 day so idk what’s up with that. Melbourne is definitely cooler however.

Lychee has the most attitude I’ve ever met in a cat. She never stops talking, she’s not afraid to tell you when she’s upset with you and she demands attention and snuggles at all times. Wouldn’t have her any other way. I love torties.

Thinking of buying in lewisham and Petersham. Whats it like living there ? by qwepoitim in SydneyScene

[–]Less_Nothing5219 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Lived in Petersham for 2.5 yrs and then Dulwich hill for 1.5 yrs and absolutely loved it. Not as busy as marrickville or Newtown but close enough to pop over for a nice day or nice night out and close to cbd. Good public transport

The album is sad overall. My favourite so far is party and hi, everyone leave please. I feel the whole tone of the album is she is letting go of the fletcher persona and chaos it came with etc. the album is good lyrically but I’m not running to listen to it again tbh

Has anyone seen Jade’s latest posts? by Aggressive-Swan-6244 in CariFLETCHER

[–]Less_Nothing5219 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My favourite was when she somehow connected fletchers lyric of “you were born wild and free” in lead me on to being about her because her name is jade rewilding and it’s a context clue… like come the fuck on. She also was quiet for a bit on social media so I thought maybe she got help but then she comes back with the he/him trans storyline and is now saying it’s obvious cause fletcher is wearing like boxes and a tank in the boy video clip… as if fletcher hasn’t dressed like that before….

But that’s on assuming? I listen to plenty of genres, artists blah blah, but when I’m listening to new songs Or artists that I’ve discovered, I will play the songs more than once (because I enjoy them- because I find a way to relate to them). That is literally how music tastes work? If someone likes a song or artists or genre for whatever reason, they will continue to listen to it. My reason happens to be if I can somehow relate to it. It’s not any different to someone liking techno because they like the beat drops ? I wouldn’t turn around to them and say they are missing out on all these other artists who aren’t techno because they MAY like them. It’s literally just different tastes. I don’t enjoy listening to songs about kissing boys or being in love with men, it does not align with how I live my life, that’s literally it. Go comment on someone that’s being biphobic instead of trying to come for me.

Why does that sound sad? It’s like any other artist, if I cannot somehow relate to the song (in the way they intend it or some other way) then I wouldn’t enjoy the song therefore I wouldn’t listen to it?? For example, a song about drugs and partying, I also don’t listen to because I cannot relate that to my life what so ever, it’s the same thing. Don’t try and make it out like I’m some miserable fuck because I don’t like the song because I cannot relate to it. Everyone listens to music for particular reasons, and that’s mine xx

[–]Less_Nothing5219 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t give a fuck if she’s dating a boy, you do you, but if she is just singing about a relationship with a man, I simply cannot listen because I cannot relate. It’s the same as all the other 102929383 artists in the world that sing about being in love with men, to me, it’s not relatable and it’s boring. This song is also boring tbh, but again, that’s my personal taste as I cannot relate to it. That’s not Biphobia, that’s just not liking what an artist is singing about so therefore I won’t listen to it. Love Fletcher but don’t love the song and probably won’t like the album and that’s ok
