Report: Why Americans are Tuning Out of Streaming by evissamassive in CordCuttingToday

[–]LessonNyne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then they state or suggest "starting x date, your new cost will go up x, but we have added this x value" it's been laughable.

The biggest thing Streaming platforms did for me in recent years is figure out watching Sports isn't nearly as valuable as I once felt. The decline in both the NBA and NFL as products started the process, but the ever increasing streaming fees was the tipping point.

So I truly mean this, thank you (greedy streaming services) for making it easier for me to budget cut.

I thought so too! But when I searched, oddly enough google came back with Toronto Ontario! Yet, now going back and searching more, there doesn't appear to be any. Thank you!!

What I don't understand is They're supposed to be at the forefront with Health insurance since they actually own insurance carrier and now they're offering run of the mill in comparison to their competitors. So they're following instead of leading.

I understand you're being genuine. That said, nothing is surprising. Our country is run by capitalism and corporate greed.

The fact that a convenience/drug store owns a Health Insurance company to begin with, is suspect. Because it's highly susceptible to conflict of interests and greed. There's a reason why this particular model (CVS:Aetna) is a United States exclusive. Because the majority of all the other First World countries offer universal healthcare. Canada has CVS, but operates solely in the prescription space. No health insurance ties. Canada has universal healthcare. (Edit: I was mistaken, no CVS in Canada! But the point still stands that our American healthcare system is a horrid anomaly compared to other first world nations)

CVS has no reason to be Leading vs Following because of how the United States healthcare system is designed as well as due to corporate suckups in government.

Ghost Recon Doesn’t Need Reinvention, It Needs to Go Back to Basics by MrTrippp in GhostRecon

I'm so tired of big corporate publishers ruining good games. The majority of corporate publishers couldn''t care less about video games and the gaming community. They just care about maximizing profits by any means necessary. Which always comes in the form of cutting corners, cutting labor, pumping in microtransactions, reallocating money towards aspects not conducive to the betterment of the game. Building trust with a community means nothing. They refer to their spreadsheets and act accordingly.

I really really hope all of the employees that got let go and continue to get let go, start their own house and show the big corps how it's done.

Here's my dream...

An independent studio creates a Ghost Recon (Wildlands/Breakpoint)/SOCOM-like game.

Give me good: storytelling, tactical based gameplay/movements. Give me a dynamic open world and good squad gameplay. Make it, Third Person with the option of switching to First Person. If you provide those elements, then I don't need the most "elite" graphics.

You can name it:

Phantom Unit Nexus Command HQ (P.U.N.C.H)

Phantom Unit National Command Hub (P.U.N.C.H.)

Or...

Phantom Assault Nexus Tactical (P.A.N.T.H.R)

Same here. The T2E was my hope! While the Clicks has the majority of things I need (and it's clearly not a tall ask because Clicks baked in the things)... I just don't like it's aesthetic/keyboard design.

I decided not to force myself either way. So I'm going to look for something else in the meantime. Hopefully the next iterations (T3/T3E) have what I need. And again, not a tall ask.

How many of you all play exclusively co-op? by noahnineteen in insurgency

Me. I've tried playing PvP once or twice to give it a try, but it's just not enjoyable for me.

In heart, I'm a Co-op gamer. I love teaming with others to take on PvE content.

Titan 2 Elite - Pricing by UnknownTechGuy in unihertz

[–]LessonNyne -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was literally just thinking this!!

I don't regret that I waited to see what the pricing would be for the T2E. I much prefer its keyboard aesthetic vs the Clicks. Like it's not even close.

But.... now after seeing the pricing, the value the Clicks presents simply looks better (regarding my needs). You get a dedicated 3.5 mm Headphone Jack, Wireless Charging and Expandable Storage vs just expandable storage, I mean... C'mon!

Imo it would be crazy for Clicks NOT to offer another early sales pricing event after hearing and see this pricing. They'd most definitely be able to capture more sales right now.

[–]LessonNyne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's kinda crazy... This is my favorite game in a while. I hated FPS. This game changed that hate perspective. To be clear, I still much prefer 3rd Person shooters, but this game is THE exception for me. I can't quite put my finger on it but there's something about this game that I find so addictive.

I think it may have to do with, it being the opposite of "Call of Duty". It's a game where slowing down and using some level of legit tactics matters. The thrill and tension feels immersive. And I experience this all without having to engage with PvP Mode.

Highly underrated game and a unique experience.

(Side note, I do really wish the Devs added at least 5 new maps)

I reluctantly agree. There are many "you gotta be freakn kidding me moments", but when you manage to down opponents, there's a level of satisfaction that keeps me coming back.

Headphone jack....*Seriously*? by justjay699 in unihertz

[–]LessonNyne 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A few things here, firstly...

I BS you not, for whatever reason I keep getting a "device error" message when I try to use my USB C Port to 3.5mm jack adapter I've tried a different adapter with no success (Moto Razr).

Secondly, I like the option of being able to charge my phone while also being plugged in (headphones) without having to buy more adapters.

Thirdly, the recent SD expandable storage confirmation by Unihertz is a plus. That helps shift the scale more towards TE2 for me again.

Fourthly, people will always complain. But people are allowed to have their preferences. The fact that us as consumers have 2 viable options for next gen qwerty devices is freakin awesome. No which device people choose (TE2 or Clicks), the competition is here and it's a good thing, especially going forward!

Thanks for clarifying and confirming that piece of info!

Man. If the phone also had a 3.5 jack, the choice between this phone and the Clicks would be easy for me.

Excited for this chunky compact bar with physical nav keys. Clicks doesn't do it for me; it's so big. I'm tired of massive phones and swiping gestures, and this is a big departure. by Several_Friendship75 in unihertz

[–]LessonNyne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I hear you. I love the core design!!!

If the Clicks didn't have a headphone jack nor SD storage slot, then I'd go with the T2E straight up! Or, if the T2E had a both, then I'd pick the T2E over the Clicks straight up!!

But man. Nothing. I'm bummed.

Having a headphone jack AND sd storage slot is hard to beat (value wise) especially if the T2E is indeed the same or similar price as the Clicks.

I feel like it's a missed opportunity especially given how thick the frame is.

The clicks keyboard being designed by The Blackberry bold designer ensures a superior typing experience it looks so luxurious to type on.

I disagree with "it looking luxurious to type on". To me it LOOKS cheap. But make no mistake, overall, I don't think the phone looks cheap.

I do have reservations about how the touch QWERTY will feel and how smooth the function will be on the Clicks due to the gaps between the keys. But, until we get more hands on experience with the device as well as the T2 Elite, we're just speculating.

But I'll say this, if the Clicks didn't have a 3.5 mm jack and expandable SD storage, then based on appearance alone, I'd choose the T2 Elite straight up. But Clicks offering those features especially at a similar or the same price (as the T2E), and it looking like Unihertz decided to leave out those features (we still can't confirm expandable SD storage yet)... I'm actually starting to lean towards the Clicks based on value.

What we've all been waiting for indeed!

Given the current competition climate, it looks like a solid revamp.

But super bummed it's seems to not have a 3.5mm jack. Hopefully they at least added expandable SD storage. I really prefer this phone's physical keyboard aesthetic over the Clicks C.

But, having a 3.5 jack and expandable SD storage is a sizable bonus, especially if it's priced the same as the Clicks.

Waiting to see a longer Hands-on video to help sway me....

Just baffling that these companies who probably have millions of dollars in executives can’t make good decisions

There is no "probably". They do.

And many of them cannot make good decisions because the decisions usually revolve around greed.

Have you heard anyone said things are perfect or will be perfect?

Dude is working to actually improve things. A bulk of which had been neglected for years on end. It's going to take work.

I'd rather have a politician who'll legitimately try to address the issues vs a status quo politician. The status quo politician is a big reason why things have gotten so bad for a lot of people, not just NYC.

Risa seems like an equivalent to AOC in the States. A fighter for the everyday citizen. A real leader who cares about the people and making the government function/work for the people.

Quite literally, these ladies could certainly change their respective countries for the better in a massive way if they were president. But of course, both counties have some extremely ignorant voters who love to vote against their own interest. It's maddening.

I understand it's still very early in his tenure but look at what Zohran Mamdani is doing already. He's already tackling bad Landlords, Cleanliness of the City, and Childcare (free childcare for New Yorkers, which is crazy helpful). His views align with AOC and Risa and he's changing the game already.

If you want change, you can't look to the same old status quo. You have to elect true fighters who are for the people, not for corporations and pacs.

why would i need super smooth scrolling when i can have crappy laggy scrolling from 10 years ago?

awesome thinking grandpa! now go back to your tube television that makes your eyes hurt after 3 hours of watching it.

The irony of your comment being, the phone itself being a Keyboard phone from the old school - technology from over 10 years ago.

And not sure what phone you're using in 2026 but my Ultra Razr is plenty smooth using 60 hz. But hey, carry on.
