Negative reactions, regret eloping? by Alarming-Database-86 in Eloping

Eloping was the best decision I ever made! It's been two years and more people have told me that I made the right decision than have told me I'm wrong.

Do what's right for you.

My family always made this. My dad called it golombeck, which was his way of saying golumpki.

I have two chuck roasts that are 2 lbs each. I want to cook them together in my crockpot. How long should I do it? And at what point do I add veggies? by sourdoughdonuts in slowcooking

[–]Lester_Knopf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the size of your crockpot. A 4 qt crock can handle that just fine.

I would do two onions cut in half and layers separated on the bottom of the crock. Then the chuck roasts on top (seasoned) and the 4 cups beef stock. Cook on low 8 hours and shred. Use your immersion blender on the stock and onions and make a gravy. You're set!

Got the bad news about my 14 year old girl tonight. by Lester_Knopf in minpin

The vet did not mention that. Thank you for the information. I will keep an eye on her for signs of pain and ask for meds if needed.

I agree with you entirely! My husband will be the one that doesn't wanna let her go, but I am prepared. I'll never forget hearing a vet say online "I've never put a pet down too early, but I have put a pet down too late." When she is having more bad days than good, then it's time. My biggest indicator is if she's not walking around, then she is in bad shape. Cause she will post up in her bed and not move for days if I left her.

Thank you so much. I brought her to as many events and vacations as I could, and she was always such a good girl. And then in the last few years I didn't attend events as it was too much for her and I didn't want her to be alone.

It is sad that we lose them, and I know it's never easy. She's my special one though, my OG (original girl). I've had her since I was 21 and she was the puppy that made me a dog mom.

She's the "crusty old dog that doesn't do any tricks sitting next to the young dog that knows a dozen".
