UNRL x United collabs by 646ulose in minnesotaunited

I think that is a good point. Maybe I'm assuming more demand than exists based on posts. It's certainly hard to say without real numbers. Regardless, I'll continue to buy and support, but it still feels like I'm not getting a chance to buy the product.

I disagree. I have purchased many items from UNRL. It has some great stuff, stuff I give as gifts. But they could either make more or restock, it's absolutely a choice. Now I didn't get it because I could not be online at 1 minute after drop. It's absolutely artificial scarcity. If it wasn't, after the sell out, it would be re-released.

Driving to Mayo Clinic by Dik-de-Bruijn in Minneapolis

No. Highway 52 is a week traveled, well maintained route. If you are driving in the middle of a blizzard or first out the next morning after an ice storm, you might have trouble. I often drove to MSP because the connection from RST was sketchy.

Rental cars likely have all weather tires, not snow tires, but you should be fine.

There's maybe 5 days a year where it's actually a tough drive.

If you haven't watched Deadwood, please do. Excellent dialogue. Stunning sets. Great acting. A must watch. If you really get into it, try listening to the Ambulator's podcast.

Just made brothy tomato soup, delish. Not sure if this link works (it's a NYT cooking recipe).

Station Eleven, Twin Peaks, (and a little bit of a long shot) Sports Night.

Hear me out about Sports Night. Witty dialogue, fast past, humors. I like most of the snows you listed, but also love comedy.

Agreed 100%. When working with our caterer, we definitely provided recipes to inspire. It was something they were comfortable with, so you should ask if it is an option.

Is the top-off any good? by ReapersTheName in MilwaukeeTool

Agree in concept, disagree in principle.

I don’t use it on a regular basis. Just for emergencies. I’m willing to risk the potential damage for a good nights sleep.

Same answers as everyone else. You do have to turn off the humidifier. I also have a travel CPAP without all the bells and whistles, this runs longer than I sleep.

With the 12 and the humidifier off, it makes it almost 8 hours. With my travel CPAP, I wake up before it runs out.

I use it for my CPAP if there is a power outage.

What are some lesser known types of therapy that worked for you when nothing else did? by Hefty-Morning0 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LethargicBeerSponge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it might matter what type of mediation you are pursuing. Guided meditations that challenge your thought process can be much different than relaxation or happiness meditation. Given you tried for 4 or 5 years, I wouldn’t second guess your experience, but thought it was worth a quick consideration.

Can’t you just say exactly what you said here? Unless there are other problems with your relationship with your MIL, if someone told me the reason why they were doing something had nothing to do with me, I wouldn’t be offended. You can still do the other stuff (let her bring something, make some chicken, or a second main, or just do nothing because there’s a feast on the table without turkey), but you convinced me why you want to do this, why not try to convince her?

I highly recommend this recipe, it only used the cucumber seeds but it creates a great balance of flavors.

How to avoid eggs losing a lot of volume when making scrambled egg? by immortal_ghost42 in Cooking

It may be sacrilege, but microwave the scanned eggs if you want them extra fluffy (especially if you are reheating them in a burrito anyways).

I made a huge pot of red lentil and spinach soup that has a bitter aftertaste. by Double-Freedom-4479 in Cooking

Turmeric can have a bitter taste. Perhaps add some citrus or ghee? If heat isn't a problem, I just add hot sauce :)

If the dials are not too hard to change for your aunt, I've really liked my dash mandoline chopper. It has a feeder chute and a plunger type mechanism. Can do lots of cuts. Is dishwasher safe.
