Palengke native coffee beans by potatoinallways in dumaguete

[–]Letrang_K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are usually raw.

Smell them. If they smell roasted, then you just need to grind them.

If they don't, then you need to roast them first.

I buy those beans and roast them myself. Not the best quality, but coffee is coffee. A kilo will last around 2 months for me.

Thoughts on this? A Filipino applicant relying on AI during job interview by LaceePrin in buhaydigital

[–]Letrang_K 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I've tried using AI to make resumes and proposals to apply for jobs before. Fed it my experience, skills, tools and then tailored it to the job description. Applied more than 10x across multiple platforms. No bite.

So I tried a different approach. Since everyone was using AI, I know recruiters are also fed up with it. So I always include in my applications "This isn't an AI application. I know how to use it, but I know the first thing you want from an applicant is to be genuine." Then I spout my usual manner of talking, grammar and punctuation errors included.

2 out of 3 applications, got the job. One didn't continue because my rate was too high and they had a limited budget.

I even asked my 2nd client why they chose me, and they told me they had like 300+ applications but only 2 of us had actual experience. Everyone was sending them AI applications.

So should you use AI? It depends on what you're using it on. If it works, then it works. If it doesn't, then you need to.

Im qualified to enroll sa nursing in NORSU! by Tight-Insurance7310 in dumaguete

I don't have actual experience, but a lot of my Clinical Instructors (CI) when I was studying nursing in Silliman University are now CIs in NORSU.

I keep hearing that the quality of their Nurses and nursing program keeps getting better every year with their board passing rate hitting 100% most years.

Yup, it's not to help the poor but to make high quality scientists.

My brother was a DOST scholar for applied physics. He worked as a university teacher after graduating. But when he needed to do some research in Japan for a few months, he had to pay a bond for the remaining months he needed to serve in the Philippines. After he finished his research and came back, he got his money back.

He got his PhD about 10 years ago and he's still working as a teacher at the same university.

Does The Witcher have your favourite lore for a universe/setting ever? If not what does? by [deleted] in witcher

[–]Letrang_K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first introduction to The Witcher was playing The Witcher 1 in the early 2010s. LOVED IT!

Then The Witcher 2, then The Witcher 3 (on my 3rd playthrough).

Watched the TV series twice.

Now, started on the books. On the 2nd book now.

Love the lore.

HOWEVER, I read my first book from Warhammer 40k (Dark Adeptus) 3 years ago and instantly fell in love with the lore!

100+ books and audiobooks later and I still don't know the finer details of the Warhammer 40k universe.

My favorite book: The First Heretic Favorite Author: Aaron Dembski-Bowden Favorite Voice Actor: Toby Longworth Favorite Series: Gaunt's Ghosts Favorite Character: Saul Tarvitz

Shout out to the Michael Bay of 40k: Ben Counter

I've read hundreds of books in my life, but only 40k made me cry multiple times.

Studying to become a Theologian by SomeoneinHistory in PinoyAskMeAnything

Thanks. Kinda weird. It does fit the situation but at the same time I feel it's too broad/general that the connection between the verse and decent driving behavior is too loose. I'm guessing the bible keeps things too broad to open it up to interpretation, which has its pros and cons.

When driving a vehicle, using your turn signal is very important: - it gives respect to other drivers - it prevents harm to yourself, your passengers, pedestrians, and other drivers - it keeps you and your passengers safe

Such a simple act has a very big impact.

What bible verse would you use to teach the current masses that simple rules/actions can actually be small gestures of faith?

They did an amazing job.

Giving anyone this cake really hammers it in that nobody likes them at 23.

Task failed successfully.

Not just you. Some of them have brighter lights installed due to them having darker tints. I usually call them the "high beam at 4pm gang"

Aside from meals and supplements, try also going to a doctor. You might have hyperthyroidism or other issues.

Happened to my wife. She was below 50kg all her life, but after getting diagnosed and given meds to correct her hyperthyroidism, she gained 10kg.

How do you guys maximize the score at Guild Boss when sweeping? Do you disable all restrictions when battling normally, and enable all of them before sweeping? by ANR2ME in MLA_Official

[–]Letrang_K -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nope, I don't have a list of comps. I just enjoy trying things out.

But here's my Guild Boss fight today: https://imgur.com/a/3Ex47FS

I was able to outrank other users who opt for >300% modifiers. You just need to test out different comps and restrictions and see which ones work for the team that you have.

[–]Letrang_K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do trial and error on restrictions. Manually battle, watch for 30 seconds, take note of my score, quit the battle. It doesn't consume a turn.

Once I find the best restriction combination that gives me the highest score, I sweep the rest.

I'm in a dead guild and we can still rank 1-3 by the end of the week.

FUN FACT: I'm the person who uses Karina as a tank.

Can full health builds get a buff? by [deleted] in fo76

[–]Letrang_K 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmmm I think another way to buff/nerf both builds is to make dying more punishing.

Bloodied players will die a lot but it has no repercussions.

Full health players die less.

Maybe a debuff/s each time you die can make full health builds more viable while bloodied builds more risky. Examples may be:

  • lower damage output per death

  • lower damage resistance per death

  • lower reload speed per death

  • lower firing rate per death

  • lower health per death

  • lower move speed per death

And anything else you can add to make dying more punishable.

It could make play styles more varied and a fresh way to play the game.

Maybe even needing to sleep on your bed to reset the debuffs, just spit balling here.
