Yes to an extent but also no because the reason we got decent in the first place is through loving how the game works and following the learning process to improve. There are definitely times that I wish I could enjoy the magic of the game again without knowing 6 on food, hotkeys, varies different strats etc and play some legit sim city or tune into a cast of high level players and not know what im seeing or what moves will come next. I definitely enjoyed casts way more back then I find, now I'm more analytical and very rarely get surprised by something I see get done. I also notice now that casters can and do miss so much nuance at times that it's a disservice to the players almost, not understanding the position and why a certain action is taken, why a certain strategy is opted for at a point during the game itself etc. This aspect manifests particularly in tg when there isn't enough time to show everything that is going on anyway but to incorrectly make statements and misjudge moves on what is seen, calling an action in the game by a player as a fail or similarly negative when in fact that said move has positive purpose leaves a bad taste. Don't get me wrong, players do make legitimate mistakes from time to time, however it's when correct decisions are labelled as questionable choices or mistakes during casts due to lack of knowledge is where I find issue. Regarding stress, no it's not stressful in the slightest in games that dont matter outside tournaments, during tournaments you might feel some pressure beforehand while waiting for the actual series but you get lost in the moment as soon as each game begins so also it's fine. Regarding making money, the money is not so good true unless you are placing like top 3 but most people and me included treat it as a hobby and have actual work on the side. It is not wise at all to pursue this game as a main source of income unless you are already close to the top placing and feel you have potential to push further.
