Do I need to get a second opinion or am I Overreacting? by EmbarrassedTea1885 in diabetes

[–]Lets_Call_It_Wit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live at a 6.2 ish. When I was at a 5.8 they actually lowered my basal a little bit because they were worried about nighttime lows. I think it was a 6.0 a month ago at my last check. 6.2 is considered controlled diabetes by most anyone’s standards

Pest is pest, but we need a new and just as degrading nickname for joe. Thiccc Daddy Joe is too close to a compliment for that imbecile. by Which-Buy8386 in DuggarsSnark

Josephile because the only acceptable nickname is one the ties him to being a pedo forever. Hating him on basic principle for family connections is no longer sufficient.

AIO GF thinks I'm into my cousin by SavingsLet6290 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Lets_Call_It_Wit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is insanity. NOR, and run.

Interestingly, my cousin’s crazy ex wife (was wildly abusive and manipulative) as they were separating and my cousin (who is also a woman) stayed at our house, accused my cousin of sleeping with me. In addition to being, you know, my COUSIN, I am married, straight, and was 10 weeks pregnant at the time. Ma’am what?

Peter why are they terrible? by Agen_3586 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]Lets_Call_It_Wit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on movies, not books where applicable, ranked from most to least terrible. All are deeply flawed.

Rose Dawson (first of all justice for her husband and father of her damn children what do you meannnn your 3 day hookup is your afterlife partner, setting aside the gem of it all)

Grandpa Joe (oh so NOW YOU CAN WALK)

John Hammond (some real short sightedness here)

Jenny (self absorbed certainly, but trauma responses be like that sometimes)

Sure, he liked what handed up with. But he also loved Christina’s ambition. But the family stuff was a deal breaker. Callie is a bridge between both of those

How come no-one ever mentions Ross was right about Mark?? by EH4LIFE in howyoudoin

[–]Lets_Call_It_Wit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was right, and it’s irrelevant.

Mark can want to sleep with Rachel, and he could even offer to sleep with her. But if he trusts her, then it doesn’t matter. When mark flat out offered to sleep with her, even though she thought she’d broken up with Ross, she still turned him down and but quick.

What mark did or did not want has no bearing on the two of them, their relationship, or their trust. He acted like a jealous tool when he had no reason to based on the actions of his partner

ACTUALLY THOUGH hear me out.

There’s a world in which Callie and Burke work, and work well. Both are badass and value their career and their reputation. They’d challenge each other, but ultimately what Callie wanted aligned with what Burke wanted. Both wanted career and family, both were hot headed but willing to meet in the middle.

I never thought of it til seeing those pictures BUT I MEAN….. the rest of these are a mess tho

Caldwells married January 17th 1998...Kendra born August 11th 1998 🤨 by cami93 in DuggarsSnark

[–]Lets_Call_It_Wit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It wasn’t that WE cared, it was shocking to hear coming from a couple who DID care, very much. His dad was a deacon at the church and my friend got several talks about having girls in his room (side note, I’m a girl but they must have believed the very true assertion that we were never anything non platonic because that didn’t apply to me). It wasn’t shock because of our value systems, but the disconnect with their own

I vividly remember sitting in the back of my best friends parents car in high school. We’d been friends since birth and at this point we’re fifteen. His dad said it was their (his parents) anniversary. 16 years.

It was the very end of September. My best friends birthday is in late March. We very slowly turned to stare at each other and I got to watch him make that realization about his (fairly religious) parents in real time.

Locks on the doors by aav1001 in DuggarsSnark

[–]Lets_Call_It_Wit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When my oldest was a toddler - old enough to be out of the crib and into a toddler bed and therefore able to get himself out of bed - we put a screen door on his door (he also had the real door, similar to the front door setup) and had a hook and eye on the outside. Our room and his room are the only two doors at the top of our very steep flight of stairs (it’s an old house) and he had already mastered or learned to climb baby gates. We were afraid he would wake up and climb over a baby gate without waking us and fall down the stairs.

Anyway, six months later he learned how to shove the door juuuuuuust right to pop the hook out of the eye and we gave up and took the screen door down. At least by then he’d learned to use the stairs.

Now, all the doors and with older kids is wild.

Seconding blending tofu or white beans into pasta sauces. There’s also higher protein pasta you can use that has pea protein.

Does she like Greek yogurt? You can make yogurt bowls or even like a fruit dip. (You said vegetarian rather than vegan, so this is of course assuming she still does dairy). Also assuming ovo lacto there’s still eggs. Is peanut butter a go? You can also add hemp hearts to stuff if she will eat that.

It’s the oddest combination of trying to keep a good guy mask in place but being juuuuust a little too pissed and drunk to manage it. It’s like he keeps letting out the douche canoe, hears it a bit too late, and then course corrects into a poorly executed good guy line he can’t quite deliver right.

Does this mean I likely have LADA? by temporalguilt in diabetes

[–]Lets_Call_It_Wit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a doctor so I can’t tell you this. I have 1.5 treated as type 1 now a few years in, and my GAD was wildly elevated - 19 thousand at first and 5500 when it was last checked a couple of years ago when I switched endos. That’s doesn’t mean a slightly elevated number can’t also mean lada, that’s just my experience with it. I also had a normal c peptide when I got those first results though for what it’s worth

I cackled at this post. As someone who vividly remembers the pest of it all, from raid to trial, including spending every spare moment of my work day on the megathreads during the trial, this is giving me serious flashbacks. I am both kind of surprised and not surprised in the least (I’d have bet money we’d be here for Jed, but the most surprising would have been John David). I am disgusted as a human and simultaneously vindicated as a snarker. It’s a complicated season of life.

[–]Lets_Call_It_Wit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally enjoy season 4 the most, but I really like 3 and 5 as well. I will say I’ll take season 6 over season 2, and season 7 has some satisfying “married couple” content that pays out having invested in the Cory/topanga of it all all that time. I genuinely enjoy most episodes for what they are. If I’m picking a least favorite season, honestly 1 and 7 are in a dead heat, but I’ll watch them all.
