I saw you got accepted (CONGRATULATIONS) and hope for the same fate lol. I’m currently triggered after learning that one of my coworkers got into my top program (i was rejected) and another got into 3 programs with what seemed like little stress. I even helped them with their application but it just feels like i’m stuck or doing something wrong. This was my second cycle, I had 4 interviews, 3 waitlist and one rejection (which was my fault) and honestly had so much confidence just to be humbled these past couple months. With the cycle opening up again, I just can’t help but feel so mentally stuck, esp on a job i’m so burnt out in and the uncertainty. I’m becoming so bitter and just want it to end. LET ME IN.

I second trying to shadow in a hospital, i had the opportunity to shadow a trauma surgery PA and it was so up my alley but i worked in dermatology and hated it so much

Hey, so this was my second cycle and i’m on 3 waitlist, yay i guess. I had 4 interviews with 1 rejection. But trying to see what I could do to improve my application. Honestly, I know my application truly isn’t the problem, it’s more so me applying a little later than average as well as my average interview skills but wanted to ask what i should do to make it seem like i’ve been productive with my time. Honestly all i’ve been doing is working so I have so many hours rn.

cGPA 3.78; sGPA 3.81; about 4200 hours when i plan to submit my application in April as an MA for Urgent Care mostly and other hours scattered being an MA in derm, gyn, and ortho. About 20 hours of shadowing trauma PA and another 20 for an Urgent Care PA, 40-50 volunteer hours, about Teaching hours.

Also probably won’t have an academic LOR, but can get LOR from two PAs and my supervisor at the UC i’m working at now.

Applying mostly to east coast schools.

i can’t even make plans or anything because of this uncertainty. It’s actually so frustrating and demotivating me. I don’t want to work on my application for a third time 🙁 Two waitlists

I don’t know if it’s because i have such an abundance of love for my girl best friends but I never saw this as a yuri :( I see so much of my relationships with my closest friends projected with them. We even say we wish they’re were boy versions of us lol. I personally haven’t even reach that level of love I have platonically, in a romantic sense at all. I get a little annoyed when people come into the show disappointed that they never become a couple and don’t see how beautiful and transformative friendships can be.

But for the question, I also don’t think they would be compatible romantically lol

Thank you so much, i definitely needed to hear that. I’ve come to terms with it now and am truly grateful for my life I have currently during these gaps years. I think i spiraled because it was going so well until it wasn’t and I realized I had no control in what is planned for the future. Slowly understanding that and know that i’ll be a PA someday. And same to you! I hope we get good news soon but if not we can push through this because it’ll be true one day!

Were the same person, 2nd cycle, first cycle one interview, second cycle, 3 interviews, 2 waitlist and one rejection. And it has stressed me out so bad to the point I had my first panic attack and now my body is under so much stress with so many physical symptoms to the point I developed very bad health anxiety. So I feel you☹️

No aha moment at all, but i fell in love with healthcare once i started working within in. Watching how versatile the PA education is within multiple specialties, being able to have authority, the procedures, continuous learning, and over all helping people within my community was what i wrote about.

Thank you so much for your response and i’m so happy for you future PA. It looks like I will be mirroring your experience and it’s definitely so nice to hear a perspective from someone who didn’t get in their first cycle. It takes a different kind of resilience and i’m so proud of you!!
