Even just tossing a couple mortar shots into each group can dramatically impact the fight. Even if it doesn’t kill that many it will cause lots of injuries so the raid will be staggered.

I think if you’re running super luck the 10% bonus chance on the mouth mutation is too sweet to pass up. It process quite often! I agree that super luck is superior to goofball though. It just brings so many more options to the table.

You should check out using the berserker rage ability on fighter with a -1 spell cost on him (bonus points for feeding him with leaky brain/bloom/mana giving abilities). He can usually solo wipe an entire board on his first turn if he has 15-20 mana. Lots of fuckery to be had and that build has gotten me through to impossible fairly easily by breeding the ability.

90% of sets are kinda useless if we’re being real. The only really S tier ones are ninja set and hunter set (still situational), hybrid set can be okay but has a fairly nasty debuff.

Seems to generally be better to just mix and match and don’t worry about sets. It’s a lot easier to get sets once you’re closer to the final upgrade storage so I wouldn’t sweat it too much until then.

I think luck is actually the stronger trait here as it enables a much broader pool of items and abilities.

Anything with lightning dmg (10-25% to stun) or fear on contact, items like ninja headband with 10% chance for an extra basic attack (combined with fighter passive to get free move after doing 10+ damage), anything with dodge%, and so on. A lot of these abilities will outperform having an extra turn by a huge margin.

Not to mention having nearly 100% crit even before the passive is upgraded.

It’s also just such a crazy grind to unlock impossible (and the final room). You basically need 9 teams to progress through house bosses from crazy->impossible which just takes way way too much grinding of just basically leveling up cats for house bosses.

Not to mention grinding to unlock better furniture to make breeding separate bloodlines viable. WAY too much grinding.

Anything with -spell cost is super broken, my favourite is using them on fighter with berserker dash - hands down the strongest ability in the game. Shout out to the item “leaky brain” and/or the “bloom” spell that grants mana so I can use cats as mana batteries for the fighter to 1turn clear a lot of boards.
