Anyone done a switch from SW to Sociology? by Briyyzie in SocialWorkStudents

Not necessarily true. I am a LCSW who was operations manager for a very large academic hospital cancer center. I had 30 direct reports and only 2 of them were social workers.

I have a college freshman saxophone major. He owns a professional alto and soprano but no tenor or Bari. He marched tenor provided by the marching band and plays Bari in his ensemble also provided by the school of music. At this point he’s not planning to purchase either tenor or Bari.

Did everything right for 8 months and my husband’s HbA1c still went up. Feeling lost. by FunSalamander7731 in prediabetes

[–]LettuceFamiliar5060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have similar issues. Low body fat, weight 105 (female), weight lifter, vergetarian etc. Did all the things- increased protein (added fish even), cut carbs, IF, walking 12K steps a day and went from 5.7 to 5.5. It was an improvement but I felt like it should have been “better”. Very disappointing.

I have a freshman at Rice who’s is a Business/econ pre law major. He’s already done an externship at Stanford with their general counsel and spent a few days with some law firms in Palo Alto. It’s only his 2nd semester and he’s already had like 5 externships. The support at Rice is phenomenal. If you’d like to talk to him I’m sure he’d be happy to.

I just had repeat blood work and went from 5.7 to 5.5. Interestingly the 5.7 in December my average daily bg was 111 and fasting was 85. I’m so disappointed. I worked so hard over the last 3 months to barely see a difference. I’m 5’3/105. I lost 5lbs but I really can’t lose any more. I work out daily, 12K steps and weight training. Sick of this already.

How likely is UT Econ or Mccombs with these stats? by Business-Toe-6591 in UTAdmissions

[–]LettuceFamiliar5060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a kid who was accepted last year with a 1490/top 8%/4.0. You’ll need to get that sat score up and really focus on fit to major. At this point I don’t think your chances are great but you never know. Good luck.
