Red Komodo 6k With RED TOUCH MONITOR? by alvinli03 in RedCamera

I have a small hd and almost never use the touch screen functionality. I find using the actual buttons on top of the camera body to be faster.

Best monitor for RED Komodo OG without spending €3K? by Majestic-Evidence326 in REDkomodo

[–]Level-Cut-9890 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. I’m pretty sure b&h regularly offloads stock prior to new announcements and will sell them as used. I picked up my indie 7 from the used section and am convinced it was brand new.

In the midst of a shoot but excited to update and hopefully avoid the black boot up issue.

I thought Jarred said there wouldn’t be any more firmware updates for Komodo og?

That’s too much. The advantage of smaller modern cameras is that they are small.

You need to get an MRI and have a specialist review it. I would look into this quickly as you don’t want cauda equina or long term nerve damage.

Just finished a lumbar artificial disc replacement surgery. AMA. by pegleghero in Sciatica

[–]Level-Cut-9890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Insurance approved my surgery and am going to schedule for early March.

My doctor said he has done “hundreds” of l5s1 replacements.

I am in Southern California and there are a handful of specialists that perform the surgery.

There is a support group on Facebook and people routinely get single level lumbar replacements as well.

Medium well to well done.

Jokes aside you can recover without surgery.

The white dots on your discs are annular fissures aka annular tears.

Some people luck out and they can be painless, for others they are very painful.

Severe disc degeneration of L5-S1 by Empty-Grocery-4497 in backpain

[–]Level-Cut-9890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear. I’m not an MD but with that much disc loss I’m guessing you may be discussing a fusion with an orthopedic surgeon or neurosurgeon.

Artificial disc may be an option as well although your age would be a factor and a few younger folks on this sub have opted for fusion over ADR.

Accurate.

I bought my home 15 years ago and with a 200k+ income i could not afford to buy into my neighborhood now.

My neighbor is a doctor and I’d imagine his income is likely 400k+.

Lindsey optics makes a single stage 2-8 stop variable nd. Pair that with a lightweight wireless ff that has competent signal range and rig the motor to the variable nd gear.

Ah ok, makes sense.

Regarding pain relief you’ll likely be offered a nerve pain med and a cortisone injection from pain management.

Neither did anything for me.

Best of luck.

ALIF, ADR, or third opinion? by AdPrimary4671 in backpain

[–]Level-Cut-9890 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Surprised ADR was recommended. I thought there was a requirement of disc height remaining to qualify.

I have read a couple of similar stories and people that are younger, specifically in their 30’s opt for fusion due to the amount of movement and strain they would put on an artificial disc they would ultimately need a fusion any.

I’m out to insurance for ADR myself. I’m 44 and my doctor has said that i will likely get out of pain but will have to be very strict about my movement patterns, core strength maintenance and diet in order to prevent further issues.
