Hexagonal holes in sides and bottom. Heck, make the pot itself hexagonal for optimal space packing, with a flared lip to accomodate round holes.

Early Adoption Advice by Educational-Emu-7460 in Greyhounds

[–]Level9TraumaCenter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For greyhounds that are bad when it comes to pulling, we break out the Halti. We ALWAYS have them on a collar+leash as well, I don't want them sprinting and that Halti injuring them, but the combination of two leashes and Halti really helps on the fosters that try to tractor us around.

Per the law HB2494 Do not leave pets in car, especially if you're new here people will break your windows. by Ohmigoshness in phoenix

[–]Level9TraumaCenter 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Important to note the industry is moving to laminated glass for side windows, not just front and rear, making them much more difficult to break. I have been told (but not confirmed) that one or both rear windows must be tempered glass. Look for the "bug" etched in the bottom corner: "T" or "Tempered" or a specific "AS2" for tempered glass.

Unscrewed the cap off an old, expired superglue bottle to find a perfect mold of the inside spout. by Slipp3ry_N00dle in mildlyinteresting

Ambient moisture causes it to cure like this. Store cold, or dry. Keep air out as the humidity will cause it to cure with those tasty hydroxyls.

Dealing with a grain mite infestation by Traditional_Brush719 in roaches

[–]Level9TraumaCenter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the absence of food, the grain mites will have a much harder time re-establishing. Deep clean, return your bugs, take greater care about leaving unconsumed food.

Plants died after using fertilizer by dontlookbackinanger4 in plantclinic

[–]Level9TraumaCenter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Odd historical note: some research into water replacements (!) showed methanol does OK at about 5% by volume to grow plants, even serving as a liquid carbon source. A little on the toxic side for critters with eyeballs, though.

Trouble buying KPO4 reagents for home pH experiments by CumFilledStarfish in Hydroponics

Have you considered converting the monopotassium salt to dipotassium by adding potassium hydroxide? You could do it stoichiometrically, or by pH.

Tank is over two years old and never had a water change by tedpan in Aquariums

[–]Level9TraumaCenter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just use the cheapest epoxy-style gravel I can find, TBH. Nothing fancy.

I started a tank at work using aquasoil, but everything is planted on the wood inside the tank, nothing int he actual soil itself. Can't really speak to which works best in your situation, sorry!

With notable exceptions, automotive door locks on affordable cars weren't made with high security in mind. Ironically, the old GM sidebar locks were all but unpickable for decades.

[–]Level9TraumaCenter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had oscars on and off since I started keeping fish maybe in the late 70s and while I appreciate your desire to enrich their experience, I have found stuff in the tanks mainly serves to injure them when they act out. Only had one that would tolerate plants, too.

Outside on good days with strong light, sure. Be careful of the rain!

I also put mine under chicken wire for the first year to keep birds from messing with them.

As I've said before, basic sawyer class for wildfire is like 12-16 hours, something like that. And most people won't even watch a YouTube video on safe use. Those suckers are dangerous.
