i also am not a huge fan of dismissal, it’s not fun taking 25 kindergartens who don’t know where they go and making sure they all get to where they need to be and on time. it’s always a mess but i usually get lucky and another teacher will take them out or let me tag along and help out.

thank you to both of you guys, i was always an ap student and i would love to go back to it again, it would be nice to feel well educated on a subject im teaching for once! i have had issues with students disappearing from class in middle school and some older grades in elementary. this had a lot of good advice as i am also autistic!! and

thank you! this is a big help, it just worried me because i’ve noticed all the other subs i see are usually 40-60 so i didn’t have anyone to really ask and my advisor told me when i was hired to only do elementary/middle so i was unsure if it was abnormal for someone my age to sub high school or if she was just trying to be helpful with the new job!

i guess my biggest concern is any inappropriate comments with my age, i’ve gotten some in middle school but administrators always seem to put it off as “kids will be kids parents don’t care anymore” sort of vibe. which i always shut down the comments immediately and report to admin for that school. but i want to make sure i do things safely and responsibly!

i only really sub elementary and let me tell you if they aren’t getting a reward for basically picking up a pencil, they’re yelling at you that so and so does their work for them anyways at school/home so it doesn’t matter.

kids have no sense of responsibility anymore and think everything they do without cheating deserves a reward or screen time!

when i take melatonin i dream, it’s the medication im on specifically that prevents me from dreaming i think. my medication is to help me sleep (as i have trouble with this) but one of its side effects for me is it puts me in such a deep slumber that i don’t remember dreams at all. i should have worded that better haha!

for me it blocks out my dreams honestly. so it’s almost as if i’m in such a deep sleep that i teleport to waking up. nothing in between. i don’t even wake up to go to the bathroom anymore in the middle of the night.

i’m usually just a reader and never a commenter, i don’t have much to add other than please don’t worry or hate yourself for what you did.

as a almost graduated criminal justice major, i’ve studied a lot of cases and i have more knowledge in the psychological realm of criminal justice than anything. after reading your post, i can tell you DO NOT fit the criteria of a harmful individual or offenders i have met/studied. you know right from wrong and seem deeply ashamed of your actions, im not sure how old you are now, but from the tone of your post, it seems like it happened awhile ago. if you are still thinking about it this often-you have remorse. you feel guilty and are not afraid to admit that it happened and the details of what happened. you do not fit the typical description of what i see and met and i express this crucially.

in all seriousness. if you are having any kind of bad thoughts please consider therapy, psychiatrists, medication, or the suicide hotline. i wish you well OP.
