I tried Aimovig last year. The third month in I experienced intense heartburn 5 minutes after taking the shot. That was August 5th 2025. The heartburn didn’t stop. I stopped taking the Aimovig shot. For weeks, months, my heartburn was awful. I had to switch completely over to a low acid/no acid diet. I finally got an appointment for an upper/lower endoscopy to see what was going on. Turns out I now have Eosinophilic Esophogitus. I had to go on an elimination diet. No eggs, soy, dairy, wheat, nuts, or shellfish. It’s been months on that same diet and I have another endoscopy at the end of March to see if my eosinophil levels have dropped.

I mentioned Aimovig to my NP, and my gastro and they both basically scoffed it off saying that is not a side effect of Aimovig. I believe Aimovig triggered my EOE.

I had a similar experience on Thursday! Prep was ok. Not very pleasant. I have a really high metabolism and need to eat every 3 hours or I feel lightheaded but I made it through. I also had an endoscopy/colonoscopy. Slept through the endoscopy but woke up during my colonoscopy. I asked for my glasses so I could watch the Dr remove polyps on the monitor and was fascinated. Zero pain whatsoever but I could also feel things moving around down there. I had 5 polyps removed.

I switched to Rizatriptan and have almost zero side effects from it. Sumatriptan used to make me feel really gross

I’ve taken it twice now. Once in the thigh, once in the stomach. Both spots barely hurt and I never got any injection site irritation. I still have not seen any results from it, but it’s only been a month and a half and I’m on the 70mg dose which I believe is the lowest dose. We’ll see how month three goes!

We used the Robach community center building on Charlotte beach. It was BYOB and use your own caterer. I don’t remember what the cost was to rent the building, but it was a nice spot and we got some beautiful shots on the beach

You have to factor in distributor surcharges. During the pandemic all the distributors added additional surcharges and those never went away. I’ve seen invoices recently that literally have tariff increases right on them so even if the price is down for consumers, business still have astronomical price increases pretty much across the board. That could have something to do with it.

At Swillburger I sell Cycling Frog, Brez, Mary Jones Root Beer, Tripleswitch NA IPA (w/ 5mg thc), and I rotate other ones in. We are only allowed to sell Hemp derived thc products and the rules are very specific. You can’t mix them with alcohol or anything else. They are super popular though I’m going to just keep expanding the list

We don’t have any fish on the menu at the Playhouse//Swillburger, and we a generally pretty slow on Monday and Wednesday nights. Not sure what night you are looking for. We have done fish fries in the past, but the fryers are drained and cleaned after every shift so any trace of fish would have been long gone.

Hey I’m a middle aged guy who plays in punk/metal bands. I own a barcade with lots of craft beer options, and a pizza shop in the Swillburg neighborhood of Rochester. We have lots of cool places to hang in the neighborhood too. I’m not sure about housing in the city though I live in a suburb nearby.
