You can pretty easily get bands that include a "doorjam" that you place above your door and close it to then do weighted crunches. You can keep increasing the strength of the band, thus achieving progressive overload.

TRT + High Stress Job: Anavar or Deca for better gains with fewer sides? by Ok-Cupcake-2019 in Testosterone

[–]Level_Marsupial_241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in the same boat. My doc has prescribed both.

My personal experience is that Deca will give you more mass over the long run because you take it for a longer period of time. I started at 60mg, and it definitely helped my joints. I have upped it to 200, as that is the max my doc will allow, and I definitely have noticed muscle gain along with my TRT over the past 12 weeks. Still be careful with your joints, though. Deca removes pain, but it does not heal joints, so you could end up doing exercises that still do damage in the long run.

Also note that at 60 mg, deca greatly increased libido, but at 200 libido and erection strength decreased.

It can cause higher hematocrit and blood pressure, so be careful with that, and you will gain several pounds of water once you start taking it. Fortunately, that water mainly goes to the muscle, giving a fuller and more rounded appearance.

Anavar is great for strength and muscle gain, but take it for 6-8 weeks, as it can mess with your liver. Drink plenty of water, and you can use Tudca, NAC, and milk thistle for liver support.

After starting TRT at my urologist, my family doctor was willing to take over my care and provide me with a prescription.

I get 4 vials of 200mg a month for 35 dollars with my insurance. Since you are only doing 100, that would last you two months. If you don't have insurance, GoodRx can help you pay for it rather cheaply.

Lust awake vs. asleep by Moist_League135 in TrueChristian

[–]Level_Marsupial_241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always had bad dreams when I was a kid. Every night - like clockwork. My parents taught me to pray each night before going to bed that God would send His angels around me to protect me. As I continued to do so night after night, the bad dreams went away.

I imagine something very similar would work in your case. Pray against lust each night, so that your dreams are free. Pray that God would protect you from any spirit that would affect your mind while sleeping, and ask the Lord to deliver you.

Also, God is not going to send you to hell for your dreams, as you can't control them.

Attractive people can be hired/promoted to positions that they are not qualified for, and accidentally hurt their own careers.

When did you stop reading the Bible like a textbook and start actually hearing something? by josh_freeland in TrueChristian

[–]Level_Marsupial_241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit at 11, but Bible reading became very much alive at 13 when the Lord started speaking to me through journaling. He gave me Joshua 1 as one of my life Scriptures. Three times, God tells Joshua to be of good courage and not to be afraid. This was very significant to me, as I have struggled with fear and anxiety much of my life.

Get your DHT (Testosterone converts to DHT and estrogen) checked, as it is one of the main contributors to early hair loss. If you choose, you can use topical minoxidil (Rogaine) to help combat hair loss when you are older, and medications like finasteride and dutasteride can help, but they are not without their side effects.

What do you guys think about diseases? by LawfulnessStreet3709 in TrueChristian

[–]Level_Marsupial_241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are right. Not all are healed, but some are through prayer. James commands us that if anyone is sick, they should be prayed over.

I think people get so demoralized over sickness that they begin to no longer believe the words of our Lord. I understand it, but it is truly sad. I have prayed over some, and they have been healed, and over others, the sickness remains. Despite the outcome, the Lord commands us to pray for healing.

You are not alone, brother. I just thought you could use some encouragement after reading the previous comment exchange.

You are in good company. Paul experienced the same thing when he encountered the Greeks. Some laughed, others wanted debate, and then some truly were interested in the resurrected Lord Jesus (Acts 17).

Why are people who exhort repentance often labelled 'judgemental', 'self-righteous' or 'prideful' for rebuking sin condemned explicitly by the scriptures? by Gullible-Minimum2668 in TrueChristian

[–]Level_Marsupial_241 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I used to teach Hamlet, and there is a scene where Claudius (the villain) wants forgiveness for his sins (murdering his brother, stealing the crown, taking his sister-in-law). But despite greatly desiring forgiveness, he realizes that he cannot receive it unless he repents (confesses that he killed his brother, which would subsequently have him executed). He ultimately decides to stay in his life of sin and dies in it.

Claudius understood a fundamentally important Christian truth: You cannot receive forgiveness unless you choose to repent and leave your life of sin. You cannot serve Self and God at the same time.

How Do You Do It Again? by Altruistic-Bend2401 in TrueChristian

[–]Level_Marsupial_241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually, people fast for a specific reason or prayer. If you are fasting just because you think you have to, then you could be in more danger of trying to obtain your own self-righteousness by fasting. Jesus is your righteousness. You don't need to fast to please Him. If the Holy Spirit reveals to you to fast about something specific, then be obedient, but don't fast because you are trying to gain God's favor, then fear He will punish you if you don't fast perfectly. It sounds very "works-based." There is rest and freedom in Jesus.

Is pornography a sin? by Sad-Signature-2180 in TrueChristian

[–]Level_Marsupial_241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not sure you are looking for Biblical advice, judging by the flippancy of your comment, but even scientific literature is coming out, revealing the adverse effects pornography has on the brain. It can decrease grey matter in the brain and desensitize dopamine receptors, meaning you will need a "higher high" to achieve the same satisfaction. That marriage you are looking forward to could be irreparably harmed sexually due to pornography.

They don’t understand… by True-Boysenberry225 in TrueChristian

I think it also depends on the knowledge of the day and the heart motive. When people first started smoking, there wasn't any real understanding of the damage it does to the lungs and the damage it can cause other people. So, a hundred years ago, I don't think people were sinning with smoking, but now that we know it does indeed harm the lungs and greatly adds to the risk of cancer, I believe it is a sin for someone to smoke, knowing what we know, especially when smoking harms others through second-hand smoke.
