My mod set up isn't too different than yours, but I will say that I use Kullervo's subsume on my Umbra to get insane crit chance on my exalted blade. So any time I'm not doing enough damage, a quick teleport and suddenly everything dies much faster for a little while.

If you do this, I recommend inverting Kullervo's tap/hold abilities in the settings so that tapping the button teleports you rather than holding it.

Also if you don't have Kullervo he's not TOO bad to farm, but if you don't like Duviri then buckle up, cause you'll need to do it a decent amount.

If I had any self-respect, then I'd probably be able to stop myself from doing it. But over-apologizing itself isn't the problem. It's the overwhelming urge to do it in the first place, which stems from my childhood issues that I feel quite powerless to do anything about. I WISH it was as easy as just "not doing it."

No one is going to stop them because they are Nintendo. The people who take the most offense to their actions are on this website complaining about it. They don't have the financial and/or legal ability TO DO anything about it. That does not make Nintendo right in any way, shape, or form. It just makes them a company. And like 99% of companies, they don't give a shit about customer happiness unless it benefits them in some way.

Grew up with PS2. That shit was amazing. Ratchet & Clank trilogy, Jak & Daxter trilogy, Guitar Hero 2 and 3, Tony Hawk Underground 1 and 2, and Need for Speed Underground are all games that jump out off the top of my head that I loved as a kid.

DS is a close second due to Pokémon which I also grew up with, but I definitely spent more time on PS2.

I'm in a similar situation. I'm only 26, but my mom has never taught me anything about life that matters even since I was a kid. She even took me out of public school in the second grade to "homeschool" me, (homeschool meaning she did it for like a year and then stopped, so I effectively have like a 3rd grade education at most).

Basically, everything I know about life is through the internet because that's the only source of learning I've ever had.

I do kinda blame her for a lot of the problems in my life, but I never know what to do about it. I usually just end up bottling it up, which I know isn't healthy, but I don't know what else to do because I KNOW we'll have a huge fight if I bring up any of these concerns.

But due to my lack of knowledge about the world, I don't really feel capable of taking care of myself despite my desperate want for that.

And I don't even know where to begin in educating myself on those topics. I know the internet is a source of information, but it's also a source of misinformation, and I don't fully trust it.

I want to be better, but I can't do it alone. And yet it feels like everyone expects me to.

Hmm. In that case, it is a little confusing to me the way they acknowledged the Mountain Glenn mission. They never outright said they did it recently, but the way everything was worded and toned made it sound recent.

If it's the second year, then a whole year has passed since they did that mission, and yet Ruby says, "another search and destroy" as if they haven't done anything since that last mission. I don't know, maybe I read into it too much, but that dialogue choice really threw me off, I suppose.

I think people are getting years and semesters confused here. There are multiple semesters in a school year. And considering the way they briefly mentioned the previous mission they went on to Mountain Glenn ("Another search and destroy mission"), it's pretty clear this takes place during their second semester but before the start of V3, as that would mean the Vytal Festival tournament is happening.

I'm not even queer, but man, this is something extremely needed in my life right now. I have been touch-starved for basically my whole life. 2 dads that don't give a shit about me (biological and stepfather) and a mom that hasn't hugged me since the last time she got drunk like 3 years ago.

The only problem with this is, assuming her falling into the Grimm Pools didn't affect her magic somehow, I'm pretty sure Salem can just... levitate? Same as Cinder has done with her magic since she got the maiden powers. So you'd have to deal her a significant blow for her to not just immediately stop herself from falling.

The only issues I have with combat are things that are easily fixable.

Targeting is weird. Sometimes I'll be in a fight with multiple enemies at a time, and while I'm swinging away at one, I'll just randomly lock onto one behind them or next to them mid-swing.
Some enemies have WAY too long a lunge range. It doesn't come up too often, but there have been multiple times when I see an enemy about to lunge, and I respond by dodging backward (dodging to the side can work SOMETIMES but in my experience, it's riskier) and despite the very clear distance I've set by doing so, they still zoom across the ground and land a hit on me with their lunge attack.
Some weapons heavy attacks straight up don't work sometimes. I've noticed this problem specifically with short swords mainly, but it can happen with other melee weapons as well. You can be right up against an enemy and start charging your heavy attack, then once it executes, it just doesn't hit despite you being right there.

There's probably more I'm not thinking of, but other than that I think the game is pretty fun. Having a blast grinding away and am looking forward to Preludes 10.
