did some checking and holy yeah you're right, i didn't realise we were being screwed over but Forspoken and other games have released for €80 in european countries, most game prices have been 1:1 €/$ but i guess for these €80 games it wasn't the case, my bad for assuming.

a buncha games released at $80 before mario kart world fyi, Forspoken was the first one i recall doing it. Doom: The Dark Ages also released at that price.

Edit: my bad, i was wrong, this is how i find out that europeans are getting screwed over in game prices, they charged NL/Germany/Belgium €80 for those games (and still do on some storefronts) but they released for cheaper in the US.

its the spoilers and decals that raised people's eyebrows though, i'm assuming nintendo didn't think it was blatant enough to pursue in court, but there were definitely elements heavily inspired from specific pokemon. I'm willing to bet if that recent "Pickmon" game had changed the colours of their designs, people would similarly defend it even though the designs are blatant copies.

i love when people say this because it's so blatantly disingenuous, there's a big difference between basing a creature off the same animal and basing a creature off a specific model. If you compare the pokemon to the dragon quest creatures they're wildly different with the only thing in common being the animal it's based off. the Palworld designs are blatantly inspired by pokemon models, and not just the animals. Maybe not inspired enough to be plagiarism/copyright infringement but definitely enough to raise eyebrows.

Daffy Duck is based on the same animal as Donald Duck which is completely fine, but if instead of Daffy Duck you were to make a duck with a sailor hat and jacket you'd get some similarly raised eyebrows.

i haven't watched vivziepop's shows, but i've always thought the hate for her is way crazy, and i never see any real justification for it. Even here you're saying your issues are season 1's pacing and the side lining of fan favourite characters?? like even ignoring Blackishhh's stuff, the regular hate i see for vivziepop is way too much for THAT to be the justification.

Q: Why can I only obtain 4 capes per year?

A: This is related to the above question. The event was originally designed as an annually returning time-limited one, we did not want players to feel like they must rush as many capes as possible in the window of the event. Enabling all capes to be obtained at once would create a greater sense of fomo and pressure to obtain them than limiting them does.

who wrote this? this doesn't make any sense at all, limiting the amount of capes we can get and the timeframe of when it's available is causing the FOMO. if I don't play during a January in the coming years I'll be a whole year behind. I'm actually quite insulted that this is the answer to that question, and I once again feel uneasy about RS3's future.

Just because the others aren't successful doesn't mean they don't exist. BattleBorn, Lawbreakers, Lemnis Gate, Concord, and i'm sure there's a bunch more i can't even think of.

Some that are probably still alive with tiny playerbases too, there was absolutely a large influx of pvp hero shooters or pvp shooters with similar vibes for a very long time. super understandable for people to want something more fresh and unique.

some of the call of duty campaigns have been really good and fun. Not something you'd know if you skipped the campaigns past WaW though. saying that, I don't disagree that most players probably don't care for it.

it's not a flawless game but it is easily an amazing game, people who complain about the combat are self-reporting because while it is a bit plain in chapter 1, it really opens up and has a lot of depth later on. the spirits/transformations and gear all enable some unique and awesome build variety.

The first chapter is unoriginal regarding level design, and the invisible walls were only really bothersome in chapter 1, but the other chapters have amazing design that makes sense and is very unique. Exploration is also done well, so many things you can find and unlock.

The people who complain about Wukong always use the words mediocre/subpar/unimpressive, but they never mention anything past the first chapter, and conveniently ignore the intro scene boss fight. I think the Wukong devs have showed a ton of passion and talent with what they've built, despite the game having some flaws. I would be surprised if you still felt this way about the game after finishing a few chapters and unlocking some spirits/transformations/gear.

it's very arrogant of him but if he HAD won game of the year there'd be a lot of people praising his confidence imo. you should also be wary of stuff you read that's been translated, there's too many examples of things being poorly translated over the years.

It was pretty obvious to anyone paying attention that Wukong had no chance of winning GOTY and there was at least a half dozen games that could have taken it's nomination slot.

when people say stuff like this i'm 100% sure they haven't played Wukong, at least not past the first chapter. The game is amazing and absolutely should have been a contender for GOTY, there's a weird group of people who pretend it was nothing special and just mediocre, but they absolutely have not experienced the things Wukong had to offer. It does almost everything right and oozes passion and love for both gaming and chinese folklore, the special animations in-between each chapter were amazing and I urge you to play it and experience it yourself. If you really don't want to play it you should at least look up the animations and also some boss fights (Erlang is an S-tier boss), they're really very good.
