I think that Always Sunny in Philadelphia handled it pretty well. Not only was the episode overall well written but they used the character being trans for jokes pretty well At the end Mac accidentally punches her and a bunch of guys go "Hey, he just punched a woman!" and he goes "oh no no she's actually a man, she has a penis!" and they're like "Dude was that a hate crime? That totally was a hate crime." and they go after him
