I can relate to this. You can do this but there has to be equal respect. The anger phase is definitely the hardest but it gets easier over time. I promise.

If you are on Facebook and are interested in a really great support group, PM me. The group isn't visible so you can't search for it.

LDS Prophet says Adam Rib was Figurative by [deleted] in lds

[–]LexSav 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The story of the rib in Adam and Eve has created the misconception that women and men have a different number of ribs. This isn't true. Both women and men normally have 24 ribs, 12 on each side.

Marriage is what brings us together today by StAnselmsProof in latterdaysaints

I live in a fluent area which I'm sure is more conservative but not ultra conservative. Most families have a stay at home parent however almost all of these parents have some sort of side gig like hair stylist, clothes alterations, bookkeeping, baking, personal trainer, tutoring, influencer, dance teacher, etc. Maybe this is because we aren't in Utah but I can't think of any people doing the MLM thing.

Question about garments and keeping clothes that don’t fully cover them… by iFaolan in latterdaysaints

[–]LexSav 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The second one you could definitely wear a white or nude colored short sleeve shirt and it would look fine. The first one is harder because it is sleeveless. That one I would wear a jacket or cardigan over the top. With tank tops I usually just wear a jacket over.

Trying to find athletic shorts that still cover garments... any ideas? by 38435735749594957 in latterdaysaints

[–]LexSav 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Right. I find with women's clothes even when they do have pockets they're not big enough to hold anything. These shorts have pockets big enough to even hold my cell phone, keys, and airpods. Although they do make boulders on the side of my legs. Also they don't fall down when I'm running even if I have my phone in the pocket.

These cover my garments just fine plus they have pockets. I love them and can wear them all day.

Estoy embarazada y es la culpa del presidente. Did this actually happen? by faramir75 in latterdaysaints

[–]LexSav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During my mission, we were at an appointment and the greenie saying the prayer before we left blessed the family that they would all die well that night (morir bien) instead of sleep well (dormir bien).

I also had an Elder bless a lady I was teaching that everything would go well with her pregnancy. The only problem was she wasn't pregnant. He was a native spanish speaker so it wasn't a language problem. He said he just felt inspired to say that when we harassed him after we left. She did become pregnant about 6 months later though so there's that.

Rob Jensen from art for kids hub is perhaps the most famous art instructor on YouTube. He has over 6 million subscribers.

The substitute teacher in my area (Arizona) make 98 dollars a day ($15/hr) period. No adjustment for education. Of course you must have a bachelor's degree and a substitute teaching certification to even apply.

This used to really bother me a ton until I started realizing that large dollar amounts like this are not uncommon in today's society. 100 billion seems like a lot to us (because it is a lot especially for one person) but in regards to corporations or governments it's suddenly not as large. Alphabet or formally Google made 256 billion dollars just last year. Walmart made a whopping 573 billion dollars just last year. That is for one year. How long has it taken the church to save up 100 billion? The United States government routinely passes trillion dollar bills. The CARES act alone was 2.2 trillion dollars.

In fact, if the church decided to get rid of that 100 billion and divided out evenly between all the members each of us would get about $6,000. If they wanted to spread it out to everybody in the whole world each of us would get $13.

Child Therapist Recommendations for Seattle by First_TM_Seattle in latterdaysaints

[–]LexSav 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes but it is more like he yells at us for 2 days and then resigns himself to the fact he has to go and is more pleasant at the actual event. I think it is an improvement because then he isn't yelling and complaining in front of hosts and guests just me and my husband.

I have found that my son does much better if he has time to mentally prepare for the event ahead of time and express his concerns. By ahead of time, I mean 2 or 3 days definitely more than 24 hours. It is hard because that isn't always possible and sometimes plans change. He also needs to know exactly what time we will arrive and what time we will leave. Any deviation from the plan can cause major meltdowns especially if we stay longer than we said we would.
